I don’t know why you’re trying a new posting style. You always claim to have difficulty as a wolf and get figured out immediately. The saltwater croc was one of your first claims, and now you’re the only one bringing it up. It feels like you’re trying out this new strategy of being honest as a predator and seeing how that goes so you don’t have to try lying

I guess I'll start from the beginning since it seems like people are confused.

I just want the two remaining random roles to claim today. When they claim doesn't matter, just as long as it happens today. Why today? Because we need to make a decision on lynching today. It narrows the eventual claim space for the evils when they get pressed.

If you are a villager, there is no legitimate reason to want to keep a random role hidden. The chances that we would be helping the Dingo are small, but the value to the village in claiming is tremendous. Villagers should want to help the village win. If you are afraid of claiming because you want to prioritize your own long-term survival over helping the village win, you frankly aren't a good teammate.

If you are a predator, you should be pushing very hard against claiming. Having to make a claim puts you in a box from which you cannot hide.

When TD says "We just lynch the last to claim", that is true, in that if 4 people claim the random roles and then someone else tries to claim one later on Day 5, they're gonna die. That's just logic. Not because "they claimed last", but because they allowed someone else to claim their role for days and said absolutely nothing about it.

This game is also unique in a good way since we don't have to worry about multiple seers, priests, or sheriffs like in your wild ass games. 😜

That's why it's so bad for the evils. If we can nail down just a couple roles, they are dead. That's why it doesn't matter if the Dingo or 2 other people join their team. There's no place to hide.

Nah see this annoys me because I straight up said towards the end of the last game I'm not role claiming anymore. It's not as fun a game for me, like I said back in like the second game I played.

If that makes me look suspect, so be it. But I'm not playing by other people's rules, I'm playing to have fun.

Also I don't live in a fucking village, I live in the wild.

Vash and I have both always been against role claims but I think we've both done it after realizing it's necessary in games where everyone has a role.

This is exactly why his game explicitly had no role claiming.

But isn't the main strategy of the wolves to false role claim and hide amongst the random roles?

I wouldn't mind playing a game that explicitly forbade role claiming, though.

Anyway, the main thing I know Vash hates is games where people are eliminated and the gameplay continues with those people being eliminated being virtually useless.

I think he makes an exception for Wolf because it's so fun and there's a dead thread for the dead players/culled animals to screw with the living.

In games where everyone has a role, absolutely. That's their only strategy.

But even as we saw with Day 1 and Jawneh last game, not everyone that doesn't role claim is guilty.

(For the record, Vash is indeed still a 9/10 for me but the lack of a role claim is not a part of that package)
