I will confirm that it is indeed just a story-driven thing that does not affect actual gameplay.Hey everyone drop your shards on the floor if you got them so we can place them together. Ants said it's just about the story and doesn't actually become useful so we may as well do it. I hope we can just say "place shards in collective pile" so we don't need to out who has extras potentially from murders.
I uhhh "thiefon" the spirit of VashTheStampede to put an end to this.... KINGMAKERY! THIIIIIEEEEFFFF
So if we just put it out in front of everyone we all win and can quest with kut for eternity. In theory, the winning team should, hopefully, end up with all the shards, but it's not a requirement at all to get that W.
In my defense to the quiet point, I work from 2pm to 1030pm. At work right now. I mainly got my breaks and lunch to be around if it doesn't get slow enough to get on my phone. Also lol that the 3 people being focused on the most as potential acolytes have all posted exactly once today. (until Tommy just ruined in, luckily I grabbed a screenshot)

The only officially confirmed people are me and FR, so target not one of us.In my defense to the quiet point, I work from 2pm to 1030pm. At work right now. I mainly got my breaks and lunch to be around if it doesn't get slow enough to get on my phone.
Plus the one post I made none commented on other than Ants for the quest so what can I do? Keep badgering the point until folks get tired or annoyed? I've done that as a wolf and the end result was that I was heavily turned upon.
But depending on what happens with my quest, yall can hunt me down if you want. Just let me know who you want my target to be.
Local Hero deserves life.@Fool's Requiem you have a few choices on who to bring back. Try and make it a good one for usefulness and such. I don't think they'll have any money or items, but hopefully they'll still have their abilities.
I figured that much lol. I have my moments, but im not a total muppet. The only officially confirmed people are me and FR, so target not one of us.
So if Local protected me from the acolyte attack, was he provided the information on it? He didn't post it if he was.Knight
+3 at Haunted Dungeons, -1 at Sunken City
Can save a player at night. If the Knight or the person they are guarding are attacked by normal night-phase attacks, the Knight will be told who attacked them. If it is the Acolytes, the Knight will be given the identity and role of the lowest ranking remaining Acolyte. An Acolyte detained by the Inquisitor will not be selected. The Acolyte or Solo that attacks the Knight will also be notified of the identity of the Knight. The Knight will die at the end of the day. The Knight will be notified if their protection is successful, but the village at large will not be aside from the person who did the attacking. If the Knight saves a player from multiple attacks (both the Acolytes and solo killer), they will see multiple culprits. They use their ability by PMing the name of the person they wish to protect. Because the Knight escaped the Acolytes alive and dies of their injuries later, it counts as a normal death instead of a dark death. Unlike the other protection roles, this one does not roll a die when attacked: they are given the attackers identity and then die at the end of the day phase. Not a Magic ability.
Protection roles have to roll when the person they're protecting is attacked. 1-3 the defender dies, 4-5 they survive with an injury, 6 they are unharmed. Because they'd have to die the next day (basically the Tough Guy), the knights power only activates if they rolled low enough to be killed. Local rolled high enough to survive. So if Local protected me from the acolyte attack, was he provided the information on it? He didn't post it if he was.
If he wasn't...um...Ants you mind correcting that since he wouldn't be able to provide it after being killed if you didn't tell him until then?
This should be some proof that I'm not an Acolyte, then, since why would I waste the spear killing him if I knew he was going to die anyway? If I was, I'd have used that on someone else entirely.Looks like Local would have been dead at the end of the day phase anyway as well, so the spear ended up just being a missed opportunity to take out an acolyte rather than taking out an extra villager.
Then your description is incorrect?Protection roles have to roll when the person they're protecting is attacked. 1-3 the defender dies, 4-5 they survive with an injury, 6 they are unharmed. Because they'd have to die the next day (basically the Tough Guy), the knights power only activates if they rolled low enough to be killed. Local rolled high enough to survive.

Could be petty revenge. The description says the attacker is notified of the name of the Knight as well lol. This should be some proof that I'm not an Acolyte, then, since why would I waste the spear killing him if I knew he was going to die anyway? If I was, I'd have used that on someone else entirely.
I'm just dumb, not evil.
Still seems like a waste. Surely if an Acolyte had a spear, they'd have killed Zell to get him out of the way.Could be petty revenge. The description says the attacker is notified of the name of the Knight as well lol.
T-Rex have short arms can only hit nearby knight not far away assassinStill seems like a waste. Surely if an Acolyte had a spear, they'd have killed Zell to get him out of the way.
I feel like kut is the best option, IMO. He can disable players for a day and night phase and he don't require the luck of a dice to succeed. I'm all ears on potential counter picks.@Fool's Requiem you have a few choices on who to bring back. Try and make it a good one for usefulness and such. I don't think they'll have any money or items, but hopefully they'll still have their abilities.
What role you got? We need to figure out if we've got anything left to actually win.I'm too busy trying to constantly open new tabs on my phone figuring out what item is what
If revive happened before the monk banishment then Christina would be a good option, since she could prevent an acolyte from being able to vote, but that's not going to be possible for tomorrow.I feel like kut is the best option, IMO. Other option would be Christina, since she can banish someone and stop them from being able to vote during the day. That effectively reduces the acolyte's ability to out vote the town.I feel like kut is the best option, IMO. Oh dicks, you're right. Night priority has them coming back after Monk banish. If revive happened before the monk banishment then Christina would be a good option, since she could prevent an acolyte from being able to vote, but that's not going to be possible for tomorrow.
Technically speaking, it sounds like Local might still have a protect (unless Ants goes back and uses the description as is, in which case I think his ability would be used up)
I think Kelly used up his ability
Quagmire has no more weapons to give out, but could make a shield that takes a day to get to.
You might have to go with the guy who plans to quest himself to death during the day phase since you're probably going to revive him with an injury.
Good catch. That role description hasn't changed since the first game and I should have read it more closely myself, it's a lot to keep track of. Sorry for the conflicting statements, and thank you for helping me be aware of it. In that case I shouldn't have rolled for Local, he shouldn't have received an injury, the attackers should have been told it was a knight that blocked them, and Local should have been told who attacked. Then your description is incorrect?
It says the role does not roll, and they are just given the name of the attacker.
What do yall feel is the fairest way to go forward?Technically speaking, it sounds like Local might still have a protect (unless Ants goes back and uses the description as is, in which case I think his ability would be used up)
Local plus Katwe can't undo Ben killing Local, though. that wouldn't be fair
Maybe tell Local the lowest ranking Acolyte, then let him post once from beyond the grave. He was posting before I killed him, so theoretically he had an opportunity to voice that information. What do yall feel is the fairest way to go forward?
T'was mercy. So at least now Ben can feel better about putting an already dying man out of his misery I guess.
I like this idea.Maybe tell Local the lowest ranking Acolyte, then let him post once from beyond the grave. He was posting before I killed him, so theoretically he had an opportunity to voice that information.
T'was mercy.
