I'm a Patriots fan, so I know to expect that the game might not be over yet.

Brady is calling the game, he'll likely bring that up in the second half.

It's been the eagles doing whatever they want so far this game.

I got home, turned on the game to see if Team Meteor won (it didn't sadly), but see the Eagles up 17-0. Bittersweet because I despise Nick Sirianni and I don't want the Chiefs anywhere near this win because they shouldn't even be in the Super Bowl this year. I like Saquon, so I'm leaning into that narrative.

Immediately they show TayTay and I vomit in my mouth. But then Mahomes throws and awful pick and I smile. Then I watch a TD to AJ Brown, and I smile more.

Now I am skipping the shitty Kendrick Lamar halftime and I may have to have the game on in the background to watch one of two options happen:

1) The Chiefs get BLOWN out

or

2) The league wants them to have a miracle comeback and the fix is in the second half to give them a glorious comeback win greater than 28-3.

It is surprising to see Saquon not have his normal game and the Eagles still doing so well. The chief may have focused too much on stuffing the run and ended up giving up other plays.

The interceptions are definitely not helping.

Nah this has been an outstanding gameplan from Spags. They've given up 17 points and it required an undisciplined offsides from Omenihu to get there and a short field.

This entire game is on our O-line and Mahomes getting jumpy once he realized the line sucks.

It was interesting to see a defensive line completely murder an offensive line. No blitzes and a 50% pressure rate until garbage time is absurd. Shows how much the lines matter, making Mahomes look like Mac Jones all game long.

I see people talking like this a lot, and my mind goes to "Do you really think he would have played as well for the Giants as he did the Eagles?"

The issue wasn't the money, it was the roster. New York's QBs threw for 3228 yards, 15TDs and 13INTs.

Saquan alone rushed for more yards than the Giants did collectively.

Also, not offense related, but the Giants defense only picked off the ball 5 times, so it's not like they gave the offense more opportunities...

Stayed up to watch the game. Got less than three hours sleep. Had to get up to help get my three kids out of the door. Am now doing a court hearing remotely. I am very tired. I regret nothing. Had a great time, both for the game and being able to watch it with friends. I did want the Eagles to win, so was happy from that standpoint.

Also, on the betting side of things, I had money on a TD in the first quarter (which there was an offer on at Evens) and on Gainwell to get 5+ carries at 10/1. Not massive money because I don't bet massive money, but getting the result that I wanted whilst making a bit of money is always nice.

In game adjustments (rather the lack thereof) and clock mismanagement were vintage Andy Reid complaints that went away after their first Super Bowl win. It helps when Mahomes was godlike. It hides stupidity like that. Reid just never changed and Mahomes was trash this year.

Too busy with his MAGA wife to care about football it seems.

Largest ever Super Bowl lead? I seem to remember at one point it said it was the largest lead, ahead of the Seahawks against the Broncos. But I could be remembering it wrong. At least that's the one I can think outside of the Eagles specific ones.

Everyone has to hyperbolize things to feel like they were part of something bigger than it actually was. Maybe historic in that they held the best QB in the league to less than 25 yards in the first half? I dunno.
