On a scale of 1-10, 1 being awful and 10 being great - how would you rate the performance of the city?

2. They killed two civvies, used up their powers, shushed the wrong people at the wrong time, signalled their important roles too easily.
I'm gonna toot our own horn. Mafia didn't play a perfect game, but I think we did pretty well.
We:
-We got Alu to kill the wrong player and use up his power
-Got city to aquit a mafioso (kudos, FR)
-Got Canadaguy to shush Alu at an inopportune time
-Helped convince the conned Jon to suicide
-I sussed out TD and Dean's roles immediately
The only ones whose roles we didn't know where literally Jon and Tubby. My logic was that Jon was posting a LOT for someone with an obvious tell, so he seemed like the more likely bomber.
Tubby played a fantastic game too. He deserves the win as much as us IMO, if not more.

Also if you weren't gumshoe, you were one of the few people crazy and accurate enough to actually figure out tells and out the legwork into it. Soz but it is what it is lul

Shit. In hindsight I can fully see how that could be a Gumshoe claim but it was actually 100% coincidence as I was going to post that regardless of my role.
Lesson learned to be more careful even if I think it's gibberish.

Shit that's hilarious. You're usually so careful and calculated with how you reveal info, so this seemed deliberate, almost a ploy to get protected if anyone was paying attention. But it's what got you iced (mostly)

You know what, I didn't give enough credit to the City.
Tommy was smart to watch TD, and Local did good with the fake tells to get arrested as snitch. Shame it didn't work out for Local, but the animal tell did eventually pay off for the City, sort of, although it's pretty incredible how long there was still doubt about Zell.

I just wish it was less blatant spam and more like how Alu seemed to just post an endless stream of consciousness.
My only thought to prevent that in the future is to have a rule no more than 3 consecutive posts (colloquially known as a triple post). Double posts happen easily, a triple post may not be deliberate, but anything more than that is on purpose. If you want to build up your post count more than the bomber, be active more. Don’t post the alphabet or one word per post. @VashTheStampede your thoughts?

Speaking only for myself, I never doubted Zell being a mafioso. Since I couldn't find a second animal post day 3, I thought there was a possibility someone else was Jimmy Zoos and Zell was posting obvious animal tells to gain suspicion, then make zero animal tells to cast doubt.
Additionally, since he was a known entity, I thought there was value in going after others with high suspicion.
Tubby being the bomber (especially killing the only person possible for him day 2). His townie hint lowered my suspicion of him because they're weren't enough other townies coming forward with hints of their role, (which ultimately was the same thing that list to not guilty for Fool).
I suspected Jon because (to my knowledge) he never hinted at being conned day one or two, and never hinted at a town role, and he lost credibility for that. I thought he was a good candidate for plain Mafia or conned bomber.
On day 3 I went back and forth between voting for Jon and Zell. My last moment switch to Alu was to help get a reaction from Alu, who at that time hadn't hinted at a townie role, but Zell would definitely have been the best person to jail. Especially with hindsight.

I seriously thought I was going to be accused of being mafia on day 1. My conned tell was so painfully obvious to me that I was sure I was toast. So I dropped subtle hints until Day three when I when is was no so subtle. Then day 4 when I was arrested came out and fully said it. Like someone else said, the role wording made it sound like the con man could use the power more than once. I was frustrated no one else had a clear tell. Then I found out he could do it once, so my only hope was convince canadaguy and kut to exonerate me quickly so we could get the Bomber whom I identified and begged we arrest while he was shushed.

Hey it was a GOOD random pick!
The fact that the three clues revealed to us were all about Jimmy Zoos kind of sucked. But rather than be confident about the discovery, we kind of went 0 to 100 on day 3 and still didn't nab Zell. I was confident it was Zell after he was the only one on day 2 to name animals. But then when I died and found out that pretty much all of you were saying animals, I was lost. The mafia successfully shattered the confidence behind a clue to the third power. We focused on Jon who had already claimed to be conned instead of Zell who was clearly guilty. I take a little bit of blame on not pushing that one harder. But in the end, this was a very enjoyable game and I am very excited for the next.

I had asked for Zell be kicked off and as soon as he wasn't I felt I had not convinced you guys of my innocence, so at that point I had made up my mind that killing myself, proving who I was, would unite you and let you vote Tubby. Mafia planned to vote not guilty on you because we knew Alu's role. If enough people voted not guilty, and then started questioning Alu's role, we wagered he'd kill you. We were right.

Same thing when I was Corruptor. I genuinely had a strong path toward winning, I just got fucked over by the couple, and when the wolves allied with the town to vote me off, they doomed themselves

Yeah, it was pretty much over. Killing me removed all doubt as to who was Mafia and who wasn't.
I'd also like to point out that I was the only one acquitted this time around and I was Mafia. Of course, I feel like unless you have some real hard proof that the person on trial is bad on the first day, then there's no way they should be getting hit with the guilty verdict.

You got caught up in a very strange situation that game that was a perfect storm of disaster for you.
Without Vash & Christina being Cupid'd, Vash knows Christina is who Ants checked but Vash needed to come forward with someone else. If he gave a mafia name, we turn on him - so going after you was the compromise for the wolves and the couple.
If it's not a Cupid situation, I don't think the wolves come for you and who knows how that turns out.

I sent Vash those instructions before the trial started. I thought local was possibly guilty and wanted to make sure we would have the ability to get a kill if needed. It is the only way the town can kill.

the timing of it all was perfect. I was like "I'm sick of waiting, I'll vote not guilty" and then immediately after I get pulled from the jury. It was perfection. I get my vote in, get pulled immediately, making it seem like I'm in league with Local, but then Local gets lynched and I come out looking more citizen than before the day began.

Local wasn't suspicious? He posted the same tell, claimed a weak piece of evidence, and then pointed fingers at literally everyone in the game. I don't think I ever misinterpret posts. Instead, I do what TD explained:
I'm still early in the thread, but I did this a lot this game. The problem is, I always do this. I always mention potential possibilities that I feel the town has been blind to. The problem is that I'm literally never good.
They couldn't have come for me at night. I had a strong (fake) aura seer claim that people believed until Vash turned on me. At that point, it was simply a matter of guiding the town towards the wolves, 3 of which I had figured out. Count a "misfire" or two, and the game would've been a lock without having to make a Corruptor kill until the last day.

Given I don't play every game but this is an interesting point. Aside from Tubby's game the only other game I can think of was the FQ game where you were Poly and you had no issues leading an attempted lynch in that one.
You're one of my favourite players to watch. I've also come to realize that not many people around here look for the same thing.
