For the record - I should clarify. I'm saying those are the odds based on how everyone plays these games too and not solely based on role/game structure.

I felt the need to clarify because I don't want you to think I'm attacking the balance you and Christina worked on.

There are some things I don't agree with but the biggest factor is how people play this games.

It's the same thing with Zell's games. Not perfectly balanced but the odds of the baddies winning are better than the current record indicates but it again comes down to how everyone plays.

I agree, with the way the town plays, they're doomed. They've already wasted two days of trials. I think it's a good thing though, it'll force people to change strategies next time, which will make the game more fun.
The town did this sort of in the first game though. Even with stuff that shouldn't have happened - it took the town absurdly long to kill somebody because there's such an aversion to being wrong.

People need to realize that with these townie to mafia/wolf ratios it can be okay to accidentally kill a townie.

I'd much rather kill a highly sus townie rather than let a potential baddie walk because you don't have 100% proof.

I think part of that hesitation is because of the backlash that has occurred when people made reasonable accusations that turned out to be wrong. I'm not sure how to change that attitude, though.

What kind of backlash has happened? Like someone gets targeted in game or other stuff?

I missed the gypsy role also being a possibility for Tommy Boy, so they may struggle to identify Fool if that is his role and there aren't conflicting claims.
Tommy also challenged that FR was the Peeping Tom, albeit not strongly.

Tommy being gypsy makes sense since Benzine was Death tarot.

That's what I'd guess too lol

I haven't played much different than normal. I was collecting tell possibilities but I was using my normal tactics of identifying sus people and then trying to see tells within their posts.

What do we think about Jon? He's putting the focus on finding the bomber, which would make sense for a mafia member. He quoted a post mentioning wolf and mentioned it again himself.
He had a tell of words in caps both day 1 and day 2.

He's also been hinting that he was targeted by the con man.

He seems to be genuinely helpful to me so I'm inclined to believe he's a citizen hit by the con man.

This was my thought of what you would do. Reverse engineering. Knowing somebody was sus but trying to find a tell to confirm what you already knew.

I was thinking this roll might get you second guessing yourself and could drive you batty.

Look at all the people mentioning wolf and quoting mentions of it. They're never going to find the person with that tell.

I second guess myself and drive myself batty enough without the tell system.

With it? My brain is ALLLLL over the place.

I'm a chronic overthinker. I try to genuinely consider all possible scenarios for better or worse.

I also often come up with strategies based on what I would do which is a dangerous game because there's not many strategies I wouldn't try.

Which would mean the mafia roles are Don, Consig, Button Man, Con Man.

Something no one has talked about I think.
I think Jon posted those as the roles, actually. But it's pretty obvious those are the roles if you believe Jon about being targeted by the con man, so it's not super helpful. But nobody else has hinted at being targeted, so either he's being truthful or he's a mobster of a different role (though this could become risky when his ability is used) or is the con man and didn't target anyone (which would be kinda genius actually).

What I've learned is never assume it's obvious unless multiple people are on board. So many people overlook things.

It's pretty important to know because it means no mob lawyer. Cleaner too but mob lawyer is a big one.

Sure, it's definitely good to point out. But if you were a mobster trying to appear to be helpful without actually giving the citizens much of an advantage, that would be a good way to do it.

I don't know Jon well enough to know if that's his style or not, but some players would absolutely play a bad guy that way.

Also I think the mafia benefits most from high post counts without going over 30 to make it less likely the bomber targets them.

I think this is the first one he's played. I don't know if he has past experience in these games from OG GW but he's doing quite well for his first game.

Yeah. I went with not guilty since we could come back and I could also get a tell. But I went too heavy on the hint about my role and the mob was like nope.
So a fun thing about your role is that all you had to do was get on a jury to get a mobster.

If you find them Not Guilty and they're a Citizen, you get a Clue. If you find them Not Guilty and you don't get a Clue, you'd know they weren't a Citizen...

As a bad guy, your fret over them doing it and they don't.
1000%.

Bad guys just need to kill who's a threat and not overthink it in these games.

Nobody has questioned why me, Dean, or Jawneh were killed.

Towns literally act like it means nothing and it blows my mind.

If I'm a town member I'm going to see what that person was saying.

Look at this Dean. Look at this. I may be dead, but I also got no tells. 🤯

And Kelly is like very much a nogoodnick. Tells or not, my feels have been pretty spot on lately. Sadly, only him and Fool though. Everyone else was either going bananas or monkeying around.
