Sony The PlayStation Platinum Club

Updated to here! Congrats on all the platinums!

@Smacktard - Regarding your comments about Legends mode for Ghost of Tsushima - I agree completely that it somewhat reinvents the game and adds tons of new enemies and ideas. But I'm also very burnt out on the game and not enjoying it all that much for some reason. Maybe it will get better as I level up, but I'm surprised that I enjoyed the campaign so much and am not enjoying this mode at all when it addresses my very limited complaints about the game.

There definitely is a grind in Legends unfortunately, and starting out is really rough. The mid-point, where you're experienced and levelled enough to be able to get through the game, but not so burnt out with the repetitiveness, is great.

This is exactly what I'm experiencing. I just finished the 9 story missions on the lowest difficulty, and I'm trying to move onto the middle difficulty and I'm getting killed. Seems that the rewards for the lowest difficulty are capped, so I'll need to beat at least one mission while underleveled.

On another note, I finally saw the trophies for Gears of War Reloaded. That's gonna be a tricky one to platinum :D

I just finished Dead Space Remake. I first played the whole series 2 years ago (or so?) so I feel like enough time hasn't really passed for this game to really hit me with the nostalgia train that I'm sure some people felt. Unlike almost every other PS3 game, the PS3 original was honestly so polished and ran so well that I didn't -- and still don't -- see the point of a modern remake. But I'm glad people got to play it who otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

Still, I enjoyed my time playing through again. There is a trophy for finishing on the hardest game mode, which resets your progress if you die. I hate those sorts of trophies. I also decided to combine this trophy on my first play with the one-gun trophy. The game forced me to pay attention and play well, but wasn't super difficult. I did come close to dying a couple of times and exited out before I lost all progress. Once I accidentally set off a nuke but was able to exit before my run was ruined.

Updated to here! I added Mass Effect 2 for you @Smacktard. I didn't see it posted in the thread.

I agree with you that those types of trophies are very annoying, but I don't actually remember having much trouble with it because it was easy to quit out? Anyways, fun game but it did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the platinum.

Yep, was easy for me too, but apparently there are some deaths that trigger very quickly -- environmental hazards and explosions being the big ones.

I'm upgrading Ghost of Tsushima to 100% I was stuck with just the raid trophy for awhile. I joined a group chat with people that carry the game. Last week, I thought I'd gotten a session together, but it turns out that all 4 people in our group assumed someone else was one of the people who could carry, so we beat Act 1 with no one carrying. It would not have been too hard if we knew what to do, but it took a few hours. Luckily, I was able to get help with the other two Acts today, so this game is done.

I hated that raid. It was so obtuse and cryptic.

In general, I'm not a fan of the raid mechanic in any game. I actually think it was probably more straight forward than the raids in Destiny, but I've almost never had a group of friends playing the same game as me, so it's always come to finding random people online. At least in Ghost of Tsushima, you get 99% of the game's experience without being able to do a raid, whereas in Destiny, you're missing a pretty large portion of the experience.
