Oh yeah. So this is not from me or my library, just a little anecdote shared by another student in one of my grad school classes. They had an old lady come in asking to look at their Hentai collection. They had to explain to her that the library doesn't collect Hentai. And the real kicker was that she doesn't even know what Hentai even is. She literally just heard the word somewhere and wanted to come in and find something to be offended about and object to, like a person thinking of taking up a new hobby.

If a library had hentai, they'd never see those books get returned, and likely wouldn't want them to be returned.

So I'm using the AI image tool in our Canva account to try to make an image for one my book displays. This particular one I'm working on is "stories with superheroes", so I'm searching "superheroes coming out of books" for the AI image. Done it multiple times, and it just keeps doing images of Superman no matter what (like, not even somebody who looks like him, it always IS him right down to the iconic S). I was hoping for some more generic super people that don't look like any well-known comic heroes in particular. So after a bunch of times I finally tried searching "superheroes (not superman) coming out of books", and this dumbass stupid fucking robot says no we can't, superman may result in content that doesn't meet our policies.

YOU'VE BEEN GIVING ME NOTHING BUT SUPERMAN THIS ENTIRE TIME AND NOW YOU DO THAT WHEN I SPECIFY THAT I WANT SOMETHING THAT'S NOT HIM.

I could pick a gender-bender name like Ashley. My voice is kind of high-pitched and nasally and not one you'd expect to hear from a guy who looks like me, so it might make them assume I'm trans and make them feel uncomfortable

Use Shawn, but when giving your name, say “Shawn, uh, [finish rest of sentence]” so it sounds like you’re calling yourself Shawna

Pretty much agree with what shortkut said. I like Ashley better because it leans more female and would be more likely to trigger the confused reaction I'd be looking for

Lots and lots of people wait until April to file their taxes and suddenly it's an emergency and they need help.
