Seems most likely.

If it's a tie vote, if I'm the wolf I'm not killing again. If you kill a different person than the Illusionist and the wolves kill, it's an Illusionist win.

If no wolf kill, can still outvote the Illusionist and pretend there's no wolves.

Sure it is. They just had an adult life and weren't able to monitor the thread at all times to watch for an indicator they could be shot.

It's a slippery slope.
TD, please. Explain how being glued 100% to the thread would allow an Illusionist to kill someone before they got shot?

It's literally impossible unless someone says "okay in 2 minutes I will shoot this person".

I get the sentiment, TD, but it's probably hard to ensure against in any way.

You can ban the direct asking the GM to activate it at X time, but then they could always just schedule publication on the PM to "ask" just before the day closes. And without digging into logs to see if they'd scheduled the post, we'd never really tell.

Did you see where the conversations in this game went? Both Gunner shots were perfectly telegraphed and talked about.
Ok? What's that got to do with this discussion? Are you saying that by my own reasoning that I should allow an illusionist to kill people if they are mentioned as being a target?

What time is the Illusionist giving me to kill in this scenario?

By allowing them to say "perform x action at x time" it sets a stupid precedent to open the floodgates for other things, "if someone does this, do this", "im the flower child but can't be online, so stop the lynch no matter who it's on", it's all the same idea.

You're adding words to this conversation. Why would I allow "if someone does this, do this" because I let a specific time be called? They're not the same thing.

It's not fair to argue with me with things you're worried about in your mind that aren't happening, and that aren't related. You are making assumptions instead of talking about things that are happening.

And your eye rolls and ignoring of points arenot appreciated.

Of course you can. But you're being rude.
You want to play the rude game?

I was kind to you when you messaged me to explain your mistake in this game. I've been kind to you in here to not chastise you for said mistake - even after you publically doubled down in the day thread that no mistake was made when Zell offered up to die after your error.

That's rude, you're not willing to publically own it and then you want to call me rude for disagreeing with you publically?

If you limit it to mentioning a specific time stamp it shouldn’t be a problem. If you guess wrong then too bad so sad, should have been online

Timing things kind of suck, but also all that I'd part of a forum based wolf. We're here in a more laxed environment to play. Does it suck in late game with only so many people around? Yes, but again, that's why we can play it on the forum more easily. Folks get around when they can or have time.

Maybe there's arguments to be made if someone knows before hand that they're not necessarily going to be super active, but if we start doing that, we'd be back to hoping either new people join or some old heads cave and rejoin. I don't think pressing people will be good for the longevity of these games.

Let's all chill, as this game is about killing friends for pretend, not realsies.

I think the sentiment is no nebulous 'activate my power before I die' usage, meaning it has to be at a set time (which could be immediately). That's a pretty fair clarification, but also isn't what happened here.

Benzine is fine to make mistakes and does his best to make the game go smoothly despite those mistakes.

He's doing a great job and we don't need chastise him, legitimate mistakes or not.

Thank you Benzine for running these past couple of games.
Oh don't get me wrong, I appreciate Benzine taking the time to host and I don't want to make it seem like I don't. We already had a good chat about the mistake he made.

However, when all I'm doing is providing feedback as players should be able to do (ask daddy Zell how many disagreements I've had with him), feedback should be allowed without it being considered rude.

If a little eyeroll emoji is considered rude, then perhaps that's what should be looked at - because to me it's like an "oh god I very much disagree" type of thing.
