The village was silent under the Shadow. Except for the annoying pricks who keep posting when the thread is closed.


No shouting. No scrambling. No last pleas or fiery speeches. Just slips of parchment passed hand to hand, sealed in pockets, tucked beneath stones. The Shadow Wolf's power had cloaked the town in whispered votes and doubled the weight of every fang in disguise.


When the final count was tallied in secret, the verdict emerged with quiet finality.


Ants.


He stood in the center of the square, the dim sky casting his face in strange light. For a moment, no one moved. No cheers, no cries — just the creak of old wood as the gallows accepted its guest.


Ants looked around the crowd, then exhaled through his nose, faintly amused.


"Well," he said. "At least it wasn't a popularity contest."


Then the rope snapped taut, and the wolves lost one of their own.

Ants has died via lynch and was the Nightmare wolf.
