What if:
They lynch Kelly tonight, that's 3 town vs 1 SK vs 1 wolf. Benzine jails Jawneh and Local so they both can't kill. Next day, Jawneh activates shadow, so he has two votes since he's the only remaining wolf. Town would need to lynch Local, and I'd assume Alu, Benzine, Kat would vote that way and be vocal about it. Local is lynched (3 town votes vs 2 wolf votes, he cannot vote for himself, regardless of shadow) 3 town vs 1 wolf. Jawneh kills someone overnight. Then it's 2 town vs 1 wolf. Town lynches Jawneh.
Would this still be a path to victory?
Jawneh wouldn't/shouldn't use the shadow the next day.
He held off today, which is something I definitely would not have done. Takes big balls but it very well could pay off huge. We're talking about Jawneh though
Gotta make up for that massive ball dropping him and I did in the meta gameBenzine has gone full Vash, the poor bastard
Everyone knows you never go full VashBenzine has gone full Vash, the poor bastard
I guess.I thought if they lynch a wolf today, they just jail last wolf and SK so they can’t do anything overnight, then lynch local tomorrow, then lynch last wolf
?
I wouldn't say he was THE shadow wolf. But he certainly was A shadow wolf.Smacktard was killed by the villagers. Smacktard was the Shadow Wolf.

Rules for thee but not for me apparentlyUnless you're shortkut apparently![]()
there's nothing to catch up on, just a bunch of flipflopping on who to lynch.Rules for thee but not for me apparently
I’ll catch up on the live thread later
I see where she's coming from but I don't share that philosophyEvils are supposed to help each other.
Can't see a way. If he shadows the vote, it's still 3 votes town, 2 votes wolves, 1 vote SK.Is Jawneh’s win scenario still on?
Nope.Is Jawneh’s win scenario still on?
Agreed. Specifically their win conditions say they have to kill each other.I see where she's coming from but I don't share that philosophy
Specifically he needs to kill Benzine.Nope.
Actually, it should be. They lynch Local, Jawneh kills a townie, uses shadow, ties the vote, kills another townie.
Wolves should win this.
As many theories as were flying from him the last couple days, one was bound to hitWhich makes @Smacktard right all along that the town chose the winning evil lol.
Jawneh?I think there's an important lesson we all can learn from this.
Kill Jawneh immediately
Bigger question is why the town never tried to consider the 4th wolf power. They just forgot about it. Or more accurately, they only considered Local being the alpha, nit what Jawneh could be if he was wolf. What I don’t understand is why the town voted Kelly. He was obviously evil and kept trying to steer the votes to himself. It kept the nightmare and final shadow alive since he used his
What I don't understand is why the SK voted against his own interests two nights in a row. I get them expecting shenanigans that previous night, but this time? It may be what gives them a complete loss. What I don’t understand is why the town voted Kelly. He was obviously evil and kept trying to steer the votes to himself. It kept the nightmare and final shadow alive since he used his
Maybe, but I wasn't wrong. In fact, my plan gave the SK a BETTER path to victory than they're currently on -- some unintentionally fudged numbers in my plan aside.I doubt you guys had two Nightmare wolves. You had 2 shadow and I would assume a seer. I'm not sure if Kelly understands that by giving the SK the plan they will nightmare him, lynching the nightmare wolf (I assume not Kelly since he appears to be trying to get the lynch on him), then the SK has a path to winning...
Kelly has done this in the past (when he was outted as the Don in Vash's mafia game comes to mind) where he tries to convince people of a certain outcome. I'm not a huge fan.
I felt more like Phoenix Wright and Alu like Edgeworth, specifically in the parts where Edgeworth points out a small inconsequential inconsistency in Wright's theory crafting and the Judge is like "This means every single thing you said is wrong."My head canon is now definitely that Alu is Phoenix and Kelly is Edgeworth
ya wtf is going onEveryone thinks it's over...
Oh man, Benzine is gonna love this dead thread.I was in jail with Kat, Benzine is the Warden.
My chat with Kat in there was about what we did this weekend and I mentioned I had done a lot of vacuuming.
It's a game of deception, so like canadaguy, I don't understand why people take issue with it. Maybe it's a Canada guys thing. The betrayal aspect. You have to play the whole game in deception and then you sweep the legs out from under your team. Doesn't feel too good.
Worse as a wolf. You're already deceiving people, but then you have to deceive the rest of the game too.
In all seriousness, it does feel uncomfortable building a team, strategizing together in secret, and then deceiving them at the end. I've never been in THAT unique sort of position, but I can imagine it making me feel a bit uncomfortable. On the flip side, in a game I played as wolves, one of the other wolves was freaking out about one of us being Cupid'd, which made me think that THEY were Cupid'd, to which I just said "Hey, if you're Cupid'd and you deceived us all, well played. Anyway, back to our wolf strategy". None of us ended up being Cupid'd. IIRC, there wasn't even a Cupid in-game.Having to deceive as a wolf is one thing. Having to deceive to literally snatch the game out from under your team is another. It just doesn't feel good. Especially for someone with empathy.
Obviously if Kat's watering missed, I'd (pretend to) pivot the vote towards a wolf.Is Kelly being willfully obtuse here about not realizing that there won't be a tomorrow in the game if kat doesn't hit and the wolves hit the SK?
We'd already used a nightmare and only one left. We were trying to protect Jawneh. Whether I died or Ben died didn't matter.it feels to me like Kelly is trying to protect Ben, who i would assume at this point is the nightmare wolf. Kelly probably used his shadow and you used yours, so he's trying to protect the wolf powers.
The theory was that if Vash were lying about being preacher, we lynch him, game over, GG. Local made it clear he wasn't joining us on our vote, and we really thought that Vash was the most likely SK and just bluffing. Stacking kills worked with his pacifist gimmick.I think there is a VERY good chance Vash is evil, so Benzine asking how many extra votes he has tells me the town still doesn't know who the last townie is and Kelly may have prematurely went off.
Tommy's reaction to this post made me lol. We thought Tommy was the SK too at this point, and were hoping kut would take him out. We never would've attacked him at night, so beast hunter was probably moot. We tried to lynch Tommy, and IIRC shortkut said he would attack Local instead, which would've been GG if the wolves didn't botch the vote. But kut could've changed his mind after seeing Tommy die and it could've just as easily been GG wolves, too.I was right too
This was incredible. Big lols. Never stop doing these.View attachment 20739
Made this on day one but it spoiled stuff. I think it's extra hilarious how poorly it has aged, but ho hum.
So much so that I just associate his name with wolfery. I'm wolf quite often too, so kinda surprised I shed that qualifier. For some reason I seem to always survive until at least Day 2, but usually later. No idea why. Maybe because when I'm evil, I wear my heartlessness on my sleeve. Is it just me or has @dimmerwit been wolf at least as often as @Jon ?
I wrote a long post defending Benzine against Alu for NOT jailing Vash, as it was the only logical play to make. I thought for sure Alu was venting his frustration about being jailed with Ben. Ended up deleting the post though. And here it turns out that isn't even what happened lmao.Ben and Vash are jailed together
I sent Jawneh a single message during the day, in the wolf chat with Zell, apologizing for implying he (and the rest) was dumb with that Simpsons gif. One, I needed to turn the vote against me. Two, he conceived the plan of having Benzine stick them in jail, and Alu seer him and reveal that he's not the Alpha. That's genius. Absolutely brilliant shit and that's why he gets my vote for MVP.I barely had an idea of the wolf plan when alive, fuck it I know what they're on now.
But it should be noted Smacktard and Jawneh still can't talk to each other during the day. Even though they ran out of time to use the shadow today, they're still silenced for the entire day.
Only being able to plot for one phase is tough.
I still didn't understand this. He would accept a 100% chance of losing rather than a 50/50 chance of winning?I didn't want to go with Kelly's plan. Especially if there was a 50 50 they'd betray me.
We said this would happen. Once Benzine confirmed he was nightmared, I thought that was all of the proof needed to put the pieces together. The nightmare of me then the subsequent jailing killed it for me.
If we took out Benzine, the town + SK would've outvoted the wolves. Best case for wolves would be tying the vote with SK, who had no incentive. The SK wins automatically. And it probably would have worked out if they took out Benzine instead of Vash that night
It wasn't a trick though. It was legitimately the only path for the SK to victory.I honestly couldn't see anything other than trying to trick you to not vote with the town so you could be lynched and they'd win.
I don't think they forgot. They've made several assumptions and Alu mentioned a blind wolf recently. It's just that the odds of there being three of any one wolf are so ridiculously small, even considering re-rolls.Bigger question is why the town never tried to consider the 4th wolf power. They just forgot about it. Or more accurately, they only considered Local being the alpha, nit what Jawneh could be if he was wolf.
cg just wanted to tell me to fuck off and die. I respect that.
I respectfully disagree wholeheartedly.Honestly feel like this was a fun one.
I'm just forever bamboozled by how to properly pronounce "Jawneh".I simultaneously hate this man and love this man
