I think we just play differently is all. You like to look for clues hidden within peoples posts and I don’t. That’s cool. But looking at the activity and posts in this thread, probably 90% of the participants missed the hints. That’s not productive for helping the town because even if you died and were revealed as the gumshoe the town might be stupid! Or lazy. Or both. And it would be tragic for you to die and the info die with it.

at THIS juncture? I stick with my long post.

if I *had* to make a decision right now.

Alu, TD, Local, Zell.

Maybe Local did just genuinely make a mistake, but it read SUPER fishy to me, especially with TD immediately following suit. In my mind, that exonerated shortkut.

I think there's a reasonable chance TD is actually the vigilante with some bad reads, instead of mafia.

and if Locals mistake WAS genuine, then I'd put shortkut back high on my list. My gut leans civi for shortkut though.

Again, figurative (literal?) gun to my head. That's where I'd fall.

Sure, but if they've already turned the dirty cop - sacrificing the Consigliere makes a lot of sense.

I was thinking about this and it's very possible he was turned last night.

I believe Cole is trying to get the real gumshoe to try to discredit him so the mob can kill him.

Okay so final "very meaningful post" - it's not going to change how things go today but I need to get it out there in case I die.

I don't buy for one second that Cole is the Gumshoe. He hinted very strongly yesterday that he was the dirty cop. Today there was his cryptic message calling Alu the Con, knowing the analytical players would see it. Cole would want to trick those players - like shortkut.

Fast forward, he adamantly wants Alu to read his posts. If he was the Gumshoe, telling the mob you know who one of them is.. that's suicide. Cole is a lot of things, dumb is not one of them.

Only after I suggest he's the dirty cop does he openly come forward that Alu is the Con.

Is it true? Probably. If the Con has turned the Dirty Cop, they are a sacrifice that makes sense. They can even use the mob lawyer to get Alu out of it if they want to.

The Vigilante needs to act tonight. Period. My suggestion would be Cole or maybe Tubby. If you don't trust me just shoot me and get it over with.

I was found not guilty way too fast, so there's likely members of the mob voting not guilty on me to avoid suspicion.

Gumshoe - if you're out there, don't bother wasting your check on someone like me or Cole. Pick someone like shortkut, Jawneh, or Fire Queen.

Good Cop - You should strongly consider locking someone up if you exist.

...or don't listen to me and fall into the trap.

If the vigilante is out there and hasn’t killed anyone yet it’s a big mistake. That’s why I think they are dead. If we KNEW the vigilante was out there then locking up Alu is dumb because he’s a known bad. We would lock up someone we are suspicious of and have the vigilante kill Alu.

But because we don’t know if the vigilante is out there, we have to be safe and make sure we lock up a known bad. So vigi, if you exist, I implore you to make a kill tonight.
