Well, I was never around when it was that dead, but I’ve heard some sad stories about what it was like leading up to the closure… I haven’t been on staff since some time in 2005, with a slight return as a member in 08-09.

And yeah we're kind of crushing it here so far in terms of activity. If we're talking outside of after the "the forums are closing come say goodbye" email went out, the amount of new posts we're getting and number of active members there are is probably close to something like a decade ago.
