Tells are going to be tricky for future games is my main thought. Once they get revealed people will know what to check for in future game.

Cold and wet but we had a shit ton of firewood and a canopy so it worked out. All my camping stuff is completely soaked and kinda muddy though, so I'm going to have to spread it all out tomorrow to clean and dry it out.

Also we were hungover AF on Thursday, so that was fun. Luckily we happened across a restaurant nearby so we were spared having to cook. (Don't tell wait staff you don't want a box for leftovers because you're camping. The judgemental look they'll give you is brutal.)

I feel like Benzine's tell is to write a post without punctuation or capitalization. I noticed several in the first day and another on the first page of the second day, and I feel like that's not normally his style.

Ugh cold/wet can be brutal but at least you were prepared. Soaked and muddy feels very common this year from everyone I've talked to. Happened to us too.

I get now why so many people were shushed. It's a good way to claim the role, shush everyone but yourself. He should've let people come to the conclusion without nearly outright saying it though.

I like Zell's idea for everyone to post 31 times then have the librarian shush everyone so tells will be obvious (or perhaps impossible). I wish he'd posted it earlier, because it would've been interesting to see who argued for or against it. The downside is it lets the mad bomber hide for a day, which is the real threat.

I think Fool is probably innocent. This is a bit meta gaming, but I'm dead so oh well: Vash used the food tell as an example multiple times, so I don't think he would've used it as a real tell in the first game to use tells.

Local is acting sooo suspicious. At first I thought it was just because I always feel like he's very suspicious, but it's so overt that I feel like it's intentional. So many alcohol related posts right at the beginning of the day, where people are sure to notice. I'd have to go back and reread, but I'm guessing some role that benefits from being put on trial? Or maybe he wants to explicitly role claim for some reason?

I don't have any thoughts on the mad bomber. I'd guess they're targeting somewhere in the middle of post counts, and definitely not enough to be shushed on the first day.

Maybe Zell? It makes his suggestion for everyone to post a lot and then everyone be shushed pretty interesting. It'd be smart for the mad bomber to try to keep the focus on finding the Mafia, too. Hmmm.

Does this mean if they vote not guilty and don't get a clue, they know the person isn't a citizen? When do they get the clue, as soon as they vote since they can't change it or not until the end of the day?

I need to go read the roles, there's obviously some interesting ones.

Nevermind, I just read the jury has to find them not guilty. Still useful, though.

Either Tommy Boy or Local could be a villain and false roll claiming. "Has to mention an animal twice" would be a good fake tell, especially with as often as Wolf is mentioned. It's only the "twice" part that gives me pause, it'd make it more likely to get debunked quickly. I bet at least a couple of people will mention animals on accident, but twice is harder to count on.

Local could be pretending to be snitch and give a false tell.

I think at least one of them is Mafia. It'd an easy role claim and gets people focused on looking for tells that don't even exist. Bonus points if the false tell isn't even in the same style as any real tells (like maybe there are no tells that are a single word). I'm interested to see what Local does tomorrow.

If neither of them are mafia, then that's a missed opportunity by them IMO.

All the mention of badgers was pretty weird. Maybe "badgering" is a more common expression in Canada though, since it seems safe to say CG is a librarian.

@VashTheStampede are people allowed to claim they've been forced to use a tell by the con man, or does that violate the spirit of the rule against role claiming? Can a clue be about a citizen with a tell or only mafia?

So here's the thing about Fool...
Jawneh had his tell nailed but backed down and voted not guilty.

Fool is 100% using movie quotes right now. I'm convinced he's mafia.

He's acting very suspicious. He also mentioned he's okay with being on trial Day 1 and he nevee has. He's also actually actively trying in Day 2.

I think he's the snitch - when he gets arrested he'll get a clue. He's probably been trying to get himself arrested.

Sooooo. I got the animal clue - it's a real clue. 2 animal posts by name each day. So for Tommy - he's could be the Peeping Tom and watched me die. Maybe Benzine.

Where it gets interesting is Benzine also mentioned two animals in Day 1 - so if Tommy watched me die and got that hint, it could be a hint that's no longer useful.

1. You could absolutely claim that you were conned.

2. Clues will only be about Mobsters, not conned Citizens. There is a chance that a conned citizen could end up sharing a Tell with a mobster, as they are pulled from the same list.

You're right, I should've said I don't think the food mentions are a tell. I don't watch enough movies to catch movie quotes, but I agree, that's a fantastic tell if so. Good on him for staying cool and brushing off the accusations if he's really Mafia. Didn't he claim peeping Tom? But if the animal clue is real, then Tommy Boy is the peeping Tom (he said he got the clue when Benzine died), which means Fool is lying.

Fool's very first post of day 2 was "I got these cheeseburgers man ", a direct quote from Don't be a Menace and there was a few quotes from Day 1 that caught my eye.

I can say with certainty he's using a tell. Could be targeted by Con Man but I'm inclined to say mafia.

Finally my time working at Blockbuster is paying off!
