ooh, I'll have to post pics when I'm at home - I have a few. Not as many/spectacular as some of the photos in here though, for sure!

But yeah, I have a funny ability I like to refer to as "benign neglect", where I can (mostly) ignore plants and they'll grow fine. My sisters hate it because they always had issues with plants, while I never have! :D e.g. when I was a kid I grew a large pumpkin which won two awards in my town's annual fair, as it was magnificent! (I bought a book with the prize money, IIRC. Love prize vouchers, haha)

More recently though, I saved a tiny, scrappy bit of plant -the name escapes me- which was ripped off and crushed under a garbage truck. I popped it into a planter to see if it could be saved. Gave it water and a tiny bit of fertiliser, then promptly forgot about it for a month or two. And well, here it was about a month ago, before I gave it some friends:

It's a hardy plant I know, but seeing it out there like that was still a relief! I'd COMPLETELY forgotten about it, so seeing this manky little leaf attached to a tiny bit of plant gore grow into this (mostly) on its own was pretty good! It's doing even better now.

Anyway, I have other plants around too, but that's my most recent success story, which also very much lives up to the stereotype I seem to have with my family, haha

I’ve had house plants long enough now to keep them alive. My longest laster is a cactus (not pictured) which I bought 15 years ago and eventually gave to my parents. They don’t remember to water it so I water it when I visit them every 5-8 months. Somehow that’s enough to keep it kicking.

Here’s my plant shelf at home.

These are my pants. Grey, subtle houndstooth patterning. I likely got them at Marks and Spencer -- their clothes are high quality and last for ages.

edit: misread the title
Part of me was hoping that you did this for a gag because that was the exact thing I thought of when I saw this thread.

Visiting my parents today, first time here since Christmas, aaaaaaand the cactus is in dire need of water - still alive though!
