One time Vash made a dog sit like a good boy for a treat and then didn't even give the dog the treat. He ate it himself right in front to the dog.

There's this one time at work when Vash went over to produce to stock up some veggies. He went and put a bunch of cucumbers with the green squash. What a dumbass lol.

I just eat it. I don't care what it's called. Slice em, douse olive oil, pinch of salt, and layer with parm and oregano. Bake or airfry that shit for like 10 mins. Mmmm.....

Plus in my local store their have them named all as squash. During summer time as summer squash lol.

It does not sit well with me, that the assumption that if banana is a wolf, to be this good at using the rules, that she must be being coached by the other wolves. I'm not saying that's not the case, but let's just not assume. She could have studied all the rolls, preparing for the game and is using all that new found knowledge. Instead of like veterans who never read anything from the dictionary.

A lot of it was Vash's idea I think, I do think a wolf role is good for first timers and you can discuss and ask questions

I then said maybe we should nightmare someone else and he told me uh we made that up, we cant nightmare....oops

HEREIN I WILL ADDRESS THE ONLY IMPORTANT THINGS FROM THIS THREAD (that i didn't already address with reactions)
Vash has a super power of reading stuff instantly. And I mean instantly. It's crazy. So even if he's not really checking quotes for weird stuff, he still sees and reads it whether he wants to or not.

This is also how so much stuff gets spoiled for him. Just because you put spoiler and then go on to say something, means he read all of that at the same time even of he didn't want to.

This is also why I don't mind making all the day threads like 9 pages long :link

What are you watching?

We watched The Incredible Hulk (2008) **

and Ferrari (2023) ***1/2

That's cool!

I want Vash to do another mafia game so I can help him.

Yeah but not until my work assignment is over

Vash is a nice fellow and loves his family and cares about his colleagues.

2 out of 3 ain't bad

There's this one time at work when Vash went over to produce to stock up some veggies. He went and put a bunch of cucumbers with the green squash. What a dumbass lol.

OMG the number of times I've had old ladies be all "WHY DONT YOU HAVE ANY CUCUMBERS/ZUCCHINI" and I've had to show them that they assumed the cucumbers were zucchini or vice versa.

Even though my presentation of the zucchini makes sure the stalk is visible.

Stupid bitches.

so this is the famous dead thread. it was nice to read a lot of the encouraging comments about me. thank you.

its true that my wolf team helped me (jawneh suggested the nightmare) but i also spent a lot of time reading the dictionary which actually seemed to help some things as i was a fresh set of eyes. i dont like some of the implications that were being made about me or some of the suggestions that dismissed how i feel. one of the wolves made a good point in the wolf chat when i was venting about it (and thank you again wolf team). they mentioned how a lot of you have known eachother for a long time so your behaviour is something you are used to, but as a new player some of it was very offputting.

a lot of this was fun but also a lot of it was not? im a sociologist who is also an avid chess player. it was fascinating to watch the relationships and biases that were already in place presumably from you all knowing eachother already especially when i knew who the wolves were. you automatically trust some more than others when you actually dont know what side they are on. it was interesting. if i do ever play again the knowledge of how you play as a member of the town will be interesting since i got to study how you played without knowing who was on your team. i also had an idea for my next lie but now when it ended that way ill never get to do it.

im not sure if ill play again because i need some time decide if this game is for me. i feel truly bad for ants who has been exceptionally nice to me this whole time and it just feels weird that this went so far. regardless, i want to rethank everyone who gave kind words and support.

:)

Take your time, but wed love to have you back, remember the lack of voice and body language probably make some interactions seem harsher than intended

That’s the thing with these games, there are a lot of human elements that go into them that aren’t necessarily surface-level to the game itself. Despite any issues that may have happened during this game that I’m oblivious to, you’d be surprised at how far the players have gone to dial in the tone of the games to a more “appropriate” level. Some of the earlier games, though… phew.

Like Mark said, we've done a lot of work as a community to make the games inoffensive to others. To that end, we try not to flame each other or act on personal grudges or use real life reasons to manipulate others. Sure, the games can be a lot of pressure sometimes, but it's part of the game. I gave @Ants! a lot of hell last game and probably frustrated the shit out of him, but he's my bro and when the game ends, we carry on like normal. Typically we try to keep up everything within the game sort of self-contained.

But yeah, it IS tough coming in as an outsider into a game that everyone's very familiar with -- not just the rules, but the participants, and how they act, and what they're willing to do to win. So from me, no hard feelings.

But if we play together again, I'm not holding back :tease

to be perfectly clear so everyone fully understands where im coming from because theres a lot of assuming here. it has nothing to do with being "pressured" in game. the only pressure i felt was to not quit on my wolf team and that is the only thing that stopped me from quitting. there is a difference between pressure and behaving like a bully. to tell a new player they are being spiteful or grill them for not doing what is "obvious" when it is their first game is harsh. its my first game and nothing is obvious? i dont regret anything i said because i spoke the truth. i experienced bullying, mansplaining, and gaslighting. then you tried to act like i was in the wrong. that behaviour is why im not playing. not because of "pressure". its good that you have apparently come along way but it clearly still isnt very friendly.

The whole interaction between smacktard and banana earlier in the game is something I just barely skimmed because I was several pages behind and had a pretty busy day that day (you all know how that can get), so I have no right to comment on anything that was said if I didn't really read it. I also don't know banana, I know she's not new to our community because I remember her saying she was part of OG gamewinners but can't remember her name from back then. Too bad for that, because if she's someone I used to interact with then that would fill in more familiarity.

I do know Kelly though, and we've had much more heated arguments than this one in the past, but I never felt like he was being an asshole to me no matter what we said back and forth. I know his attitude about the game too. My frustration this time had entirely to do with the psychology behind trying my best to get people (not just Kelly) to believe the truth and not being believed (not just by kelly but most players). And to their credit, they were not wrong to doubt me, I couldn't provide absolute proof so there was still room to doubt. They played fair, and played hard, and I never felt like the arguments with me turned personal. It was just part of the game. And even at the end I was on the fence as to whether kelly had an evil or solo role or not and he wasn't even in my top four suspects.
