i experienced bullying, mansplaining, and gaslighting.

This is where I want to start name calling and explaining that gaslighting is an expected part of the game, just to hit the trifecta in one go.

But instead I'll say good on you for realizing this game isn't for you.

to be perfectly clear so everyone fully understands where im coming from because theres a lot of assuming here. it has nothing to do with being "pressured" in game. the only pressure i felt was to not quit on my wolf team and that is the only thing that stopped me from quitting. there is a difference between pressure and behaving like a bully. to tell a new player they are being spiteful or grill them for not doing what is "obvious" when it is their first game is harsh. its my first game and nothing is obvious? i dont regret anything i said because i spoke the truth. i experienced bullying, mansplaining, and gaslighting. then you tried to act like i was in the wrong. that behaviour is why im not playing. not because of "pressure". its good that you have apparently come along way but it clearly still isnt very friendly.
I can't speak to those other things, but I will say that being on the town side and getting frustrated that others can't see something that's obvious to you, is a natural feeling and we all get called out on it. And you were on the wolf team, so naturally you had a role that was forced to lie and manipulate in order to win. That is just part of the game and nothing personal towards you, look around and you'll see people having facepalm moments towards all the players, especially towards the town.

The other thing is the mansplaining. I'm sorry if it felt that way (including if my own comments do). It could be because it was your first game, something you yourself remind us of, and they were legit trying to help a new person. However I've also seen a lot of comments praising you for how well you're doing on your first go, and how you already seem to be better at reading and understanding the rules than most of us who have played multiple games. There are other women players here though, if you feel more comfortable taking instruction from them.

If you're sitting out then I guess that's good. See how we interact from the outside when you're not part of it and notice how intense the arguments still get, but all throughout we are still friends.

I do think a lot of it is just the medium, if we were all in person I think it would come off a lot lighter some of the times

I've played wolf/mafia in person before and it's fun. Usually a room full of people and everyone closes their eyes and the host taps 1/3 of the players to let them know they're the bad guy and says only those I tapped open your eyes so you'll know each other. Night phases they quietly communicate through gestures and pointing to decide their next kill. If you're on a couch with townies though then you have to be extra careful not to let them feel movement though.

There's also a game you can purchase that is called One Night Ultimate Werewolf with a deck of cards that you use to randomly deal out player roles, and an optional phone app you can download where the voice in the app does the hosting for you and a timer you can set for voting during the day phase. It's pretty fun.

Is that secret third thing the date you will start your next Mafia game?

The people demand it.
I'm not going to be able to take on a project of that scope until after my current work assignment is over. So we're lookin at November at the soonest.

I'm currently debating between running a Mafia game then or getting another D&D campaign up.

More importantly, @Zell 17 when is the next meme game? I think the one where we all choose a role didn't end up being as funny as it could have been. I think the organizer needs to decide the chaos factor instead if leaving it to us plebs who are just going to pick Priest and Gunner every time.
We want the game where no one knows their own role

I've seen that suggested, but I can't help but wonder how that's even supposed to work. This isn't like pressing an assigned key that uses an ability. All of the roles have different functions, prompts, and time in which they can be used.

Fool's Requiem uses their ability doesn't exactly work for Bell Ringer.
