I used Winamp pretty much forever, and one of the biggest reasons why is I had a *MASSIVE* playlist that I had cultivated over like 20 years and I didn't wanna lose it. Then I found out Spotify can import old playlists. But one of the biggest catches of Winamp, as great as it was, was that obviously you couldn't really "discover" new music without downloading or buying.
When I imported it, I named it "Winamp is Dead", and I began a new playlist that was (primarily) just songs I had found after I switched. I lived in the "For You" albums, or just searching by similar artists, and this playlist so quickly became my go to whenever I couldn't pick something else to listen to.
I named it "Spotify Lives" (this is a fairly mixed genre, but I would say it leans heavily into alternative, some modern punk, and lighter hard rock)
Other playlists I've made, this one was just for shits and giggles to see if I could do it:
The Alphabet Song: (the genre in here is completely assorted, I tried to pick songs I knew, but some I couldn't find, so I just searched for any that fit the bill.)
and lastly, this one will forever cement my credentials as A: nerd, B: TV nerd, C: music nerd, and D: having way too much time on my hands as of a year or two ago. The Supernatural Definitive Playlist, every song I could find that was ever on the show, in order of the episodes they were in. (this genre leans heavily towards 70s and 80s hard rock and metal, as is the theme of the show, but there's other things mixed in )
