Bell ringer schmell ringer

@Ben I water @Ants!
In the heart of the town square, the tension ripples like heat off asphalt. The crowd parts in wary silence as Local Hero strides forward—an aura of grim certainty hanging over him. His coat flutters with each determined step, a worn flask glinting under the pale afternoon sun.

His eyes lock on Ants, who stands amidst the gathering. There’s something wrong in the air around him—a stillness too perfect, too composed for the chaos lurking beneath.

Without hesitation, Local Hero raises the flask and flicks a spray of holy water toward Ants. The droplets catch the light for a moment—then splatter across Ants face.

At first, nothing.

Then, the flesh begins to bubble.

Blisters rise and burst like molten tar beneath the skin. The smell of burning flesh curls into the air as Ants convulses, the mask of humanity unraveling. His skin ripples with unnatural elasticity, shifting erratically—briefly adopting an unnatural blue hue, then twisting again. His body jerks violently, shifting between forms. He grows taller, his chest swells into unmistakable curves—then, just as quickly, receding into sinewy muscle. The voice that erupts from his throat fractures—cycling through a chorus of accents, from a gravelly Eastern European snarl to a lilting British dialect.

And then it lands—smooth, thick, and unmistakably Southern.

"I'm sorry," the thing croaks through cracked, bubbling lips. Its voice scratches through the horror like nails on glass. "I thought you was corn."

A final, violent spasm racks its body. Its eyes blaze white-hot, erupting with searing light that pierces through the grotesque, shifting flesh. The skin chars into ash, disintegrating mid-air and leaving nothing but a skeletal frame, brittle and blackened, which collapses to the ground in a faint clatter.

The silence that follows is suffocating.

Local Hero doesn’t flinch. He raises the flask to his lips, takes a slow sip of the sanctified water, and wipes his mouth with the back of his sleeve.

Without sparing the smoldering remains another glance, the Exorcist turns on his heel and strolls away—each step echoing like a final benediction over the cursed bones left behind.

@Ants! has been killed by @Local Hero.

Ants was the Doppelganger.

Would it not still be 1/2-+1 to avoid ties? I thought that was how I recalled Zell doing it, but I'm a lover, not a mathematician.
I thought Zell's was total players divided by two and then rounded up. Your game, though.

side note, minimum vote count requirement is dumb and I will die on this hill.

Ummm I have no idea, sorry.
It was a reference to everyone's favourite platform game, Spyro 2.

Zell normally uses 1/2 -1, although on the WolfBot games the day 1 votes was just half.

I've always thought ties are a valid vote outcome.

Plus, minus, same difference!

We're just going half, baybee.

Killing someone who is about to die via Infector does not help the town.

Killing someone who might be the Infector does help the town.

And that's why I'm voting for Fool's. If anyone else has a better target, by all means, but for now I follow my vibes.

I'm dead unless we miraculously hit the infector. Same as Quagmire. So, sure, I can go with Fool's. Kat is also reading evil on Alu, so I'd vote on him too.

Where did Kat say she got an evil reading on Alu? I'd be happy to vote out Alu, though I think there's a higher probability he's a Cryptid.
