Hmm, Flood of Tears is a card that's similar to Upheaval, but the big difference is this one doesn't bounce the lands back into the hand. That's not going to work for me. The whole point to having a card like Upheaval in the deck is to float a bunch of mana, then bounce everything back into our hands, including the lands so as to reset the entire board. I'd then replay all my mana rocks and get all my stuff back on the board while my opponent is forced to start all the way back to square one, putting them in a position where it's practically impossible to get back into the game unless they can ramp themselves.

Noticed we have a new set coming out next month with Edge of Eternities. Looking at the theme of the set and something tells me we're going to be seeing the Eldrazi again.
It's a space theme. And vehicles (or any legendary... card... with a power and toughness) will be allowed to be commanders withe that set too.

Revamped the mono black Necropotence deck. Made a custom brew swapping out some of the old cards for new ones.

Now in the deck:
4x Evolved Sleeper
4x Unstoppable Slasher
4x Bloodletter of Aclazotz
4x Unholy Annex
4x Cut Down
4x Go for the Throat

Staples still in the deck:
3x Necropotence
4x Dark Ritual
1x Demonic Tutor
4x Hymn to Tourach
4x Drain Life

A little rant here. Was talking with a friend about the state of the game right now, and we were talking about how there's too many sets per year, which makes it difficult to keep up with the game. Well, it gets worse because I took a gander into how many sets the game gets per year and saw that Wizards increased the amount of sets per year from 4 to 6. That's ridiculous. :facepalm

Expanding Standard was iffy enough, but Wizards just had to increase the amounts of sets per year to further make a mess of things. This ended up not only making it more difficult to keep up with the sets, but more cards means more room to combine them to make some toxic shit. Cards that were supposed to be rotated out last year ended up staying for an additional year. For instance, an already insane one-drop like Monastery Swiftspear being slotted into Monstrous Rage and Cori Steel Cutter decks.

You don't like a set every two months with three of them being overpriced universes beyond!?
Nope, I believe 3 sets every 4 months is a healthy balance. Far enough apart to give players time to focus on a set at a time, but not too far apart before a fresh new set enters the scene.

Also, I'm not too keen on the Universe Beyond stuff being part of standard if it doesn't fit with the fantasy setting Magic is known for. D&D, Baldur's Gate, LOTR, and Final Fantasy I'm 100% on board with because it stays true with the game's theme. The other stuff, hard no.
