So uhh if Cole was a better target, wouldn't it make more sense to use the black potion on them and kill them in one go rather than the red potion? Instead the black potion was used on FR who, up until that point, was completely unknown. Plus, you had claimed your role, and could see if they had killed someone if you seer'd them, so it would've made sense to target you again.

So basically it stands that the alchemist is making completely nonsensical moves.
I didn't reveal anything about my role until the second day. I was nearly lynched the first night and RK may have suspected I was a wolf. Maybe they also suspected Cole as a wolf and wanted the option to kill him whenever.

well unfortunately i lack the power of clairvoyance.
You knew there were two seers and we had narrowed the last wolf down to two people, and me checking either would confirm which one was a wolf.

Unless you have a wolf shaman and were hoping to trick me?

Well then I took a pretty big gamble by claiming that I was potioned when I did, right?
Did you take a big gamble? What were we going to do if we caught you in a lie, lynch you for being a wolf?

You must've heard from Zell at the same time as me, right? Easy solution: check the timings and see if they line up and you have your truth.
I feel like this is perilously close to sharing PMs and is meta gaming... But yeah this did occur to me and it does check out, though there are other possible explanations.

But has anyone suggested that maybe the reason no one else got a potion last night was because Raposa was targeted and couldn't receive it having been in jail? Or would that have also "sprung" the trap?
This hasn't been suggested and is possible, but it'd be weird for the alchemist to go after another beast hunter. That's their cover.

I highly doubt Zell would have used the word "activated" as a slip up in a message. And there wouldn't be a chance of getting that message in the day, because it wouldn't activate until the night.

Just trying to cover all of our bases here.
This is what the role says, and it is a bit ambiguous about "activation" which could be especially confusing for an imposter:

Beast Hunter: At night, can place a beast trap on any player, including themselves. The subsequent night, the trap activates. Once the trap is activated, the player it is on is protected from normal evil/solo attacks. If a werewolf attacks that player, the lowest ranking werewolf will be killed instead of the target. If the solo killer attacks, the trap will trigger but both the solo killer and the person the trap is on will be unharmed. The Beast Hunter is always told if their trap activates. (Why would it not activate? No idea.)

Which means all proposed timelines mean it would have been impossible for Vash to be protected last night.

So the trap did not block a potion delivery. IMO the alchemist didn't deliver a second to give the illusion one was stopped by a trap.
I've been thinking about this, and Local getting a black potion makes some sense. If I were an alchemist, I wouldn't want to black potion any beast hunters because they're my cover. I wouldn't immediately kill any wolves because it's better for the town to be focusing on killing wolves than killing me, and I don't want wolves to gain a majority. I'm either claiming to protect Vash or somebody else is, so it's either risky to give him a potion or blows my cover. Vash could choose to protect the one townie who had been given a red potion already. That pretty much leaves Local and CG as possible targets.

I still think Kelly is a weird target though. Better to take the chance to give me another red potion than to waste one on a known wolf. Or they could give it to cg. But people do weird things.

Why would the alchemist not go ahead and send a second red Kat's way last night?

That still bugs me
See above, maybe they feared you protecting me. Or they thought the wolves would kill me instead of Local?

However, with all that said... It does seem Tubby is probably lying since it explicitly says the trap doesn't activate until the next night, so there's no way what he's saying is true.

I vote Tubby. And skip I guess.
