So at some point in the middle of the week, I stopped getting notifications for this thread. I finally remembered to check it and realized I had missed like two pages. At first I thought I might have missed several songs. Luckily most of the posts were Ben and TD's sleuthing exploits comically after FR had already gotten the answer, and Jawneh and Nae's wacky letter spelling bee.i

I think the only one I would have gotten was the Mario 3 underground theme.

Anyway, I'm back. Cue the pizza fire gif and all that.

I think it's a kink of the system where if you dont click on the notification you get when you come back it doesnt give you any more until you manually revisit the thread, or something along those lines

Yeah, basically this is what seems to happen. I'd tried fucking with settings at some point but it just seems to be how XF2 works.

I played that game a ton as a kid, so that theme is buried in the recesses of my memory, ready to emerge at the slightest prompting.

Definitely a classic overworld theme. Like what was done with the Super Mario World Overword Theme, this one was used in several different forms in various levels throughout the game.
