Ok, I feel like this one is going to hard.

View attachment 32263

This was a short lived online only multi-player game.

Also, I feel like screenshoting YouTube videos on my phone is going to always leave these more modern games looking worse than they actually do.
Judging from how old the graphics look, this is obviously one of the initial samples of HalfLife 3

Oh dang, I def never heard of this game. Is it any good?
It used to show up a lot on "most underrated" lists of the era. It was one of the first games I rented from GameFly and it was very enjoyable at the time. Not sure how it holds up today though.

If it was good then, it's good now.

Wasn't expecting someone to get LawBreakers right off the bat. I thought I would have to provide other hints involving Cliffy B and BossKeyGames' crummy rushed Fortnite knockoff.

LawBreakers' biggest issue was that it was not beginner friendly. Cliffy B kept trying to throw out "this is Overwatch for fans of Dark Souls". Like, why did we need a team-based hero shooter game that is extremely difficult to play at first?

There was a lot of great ideas, and when played well, matches could be really fun, but ignoring "easy to pick up and play, difficult to master" concept that most games should be aiming for killed it.

@dimmerwit did you happen to sample the game back then? I played in the open beta for a couple days and went back to OW.

Oh dang, I def never heard of this game. Is it any good?
Like what Vash said, its one of those "hidden gem" kind of games that went under the radar at the time. I've only played the first 30 minutes or so, but it definitely plays well. I think the lack of camera controls could eventually lead to annoying deaths, but based on the beginning, the platforming felt VERY forgiving.

It definitely plays like an early 2010s Namco game.

ISTG if its something like "Mega Man II emulated on the Virtual Console as part of Mega Man Anniversary Collection JP" I will have no choice but to tip my hat and respect it
Nah, it's much more straightforward than that. Hopefully I still earn some of that coveted Vash respect though 🥺

Assuming it's a handheld game the resolution means that it's probably a WonderSwan game. It's very close to exactly double the original system's resolution whilst the GBA is slightly too high.
We only play games on the WonderGoose system here

the only non-color Wonderswan Mega Man game I was able to find is Japan only. Surely Kelly isn't having think of a game that was only released in Japan on a system that was only released in Japan.

Resolution looks too wide to be a Wonderswan game, too.

"Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chōsensha" is the only black and white Mega Man/Rockman on the Wonderswan. The other two were released for the Color.

All Wonderswan games are Japan-only (well, "never released in the west" is more accurate).

And of course I am. There are context clues! You can figure it out 😁

Like so:
Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chōsensha" is the only black and white Mega Man/Rockman on the Wonderswan.
Ding ding ding!

The game is completely different from the SNES and GBA Mega Man & Bass game. Apart from Mega Man's stupid sprite design and walk cycle, it's actually a pretty good game. Better than most of the GB games, I'd even say.
