I enjoy GCW, contrary to popular belief it's not just a death match company, there are some questionable booking sometimes imo Blake Christian has been champ for way too long. but other than that it's a fun company to watch

I'm happy to see Cardona was able to find success outside of WWE. I still feel bad for the poor guy after WWE buried him into oblivion after he worked his ass of to get over with the fans.

2021-2022 were wicked years for Cardona; to go from his WWE-era "Broski" gimmick as Zach Ryder and literally reinvent himself as he did is nothing short of wrestling excellence. His 2022 run in NWA with his "I'm here to save the NWA" gimmick worked, especially after he beat Trevor Murdoch for the ten pounds of gold...

Yeah I've been hoping everyone would beat him here lately. The obvious choices were Janela and Effy but I cant think of an actual top guy on the face side other than Gage and Mance Warner still has that title shot in his back pocket.

so Blake Christian got stripped of the GCW title because he's competing at BOSJ in Japan and will be unable to defend his title against Janela at Cage of Survival on June 2nd. As happy as I am that Blake is no longer champ I do have two big problems with this

  1. 1.Joey Janela legit lost the Extreme title for like 2 years and GCW never did anything about it. Blake can't make one defense and the title is vacated?
  2. 2.GCW should have known this before they made the match

What's interesting in that too is that Cardona is a heel and so is Blake....so im confused as to why he punished a heel when another heel is pissed at Cardona. At the end of the day its all gonna lead to Mance Warner cashing in his title shot and winning because he's being pushed as the monster heel right now and will probably lose to Effy at that show. Also I think Janela is part of the backstage crew along with Nick Gage, which is why he can do what he does.

Ill post results from both shows after the one today is done.

yeah to me it doesn’t even matter who wins the gauntlet match cause I think Mance is just gonna cash in and win anyway. what happens with the title after that depends on if Mance Vs Effy is before or after the gauntlet match. also with Blake christian i was just thinking obviously i have nothing to base this off of and it is doubtful it is the case but what if Blake Christian is gonna be in japan longer than expected and that's why he was stripped of the title

Best of the Super Juniors literally ends on June 9th, the finals of that show take place at the NJPW Dominion PPV. Right now he's in the top 4 in his block, but with the way GCW runs shows every month you mean to tell me they couldnt just push the title shot back? They HAD to strip him of the belt? Hes literally gonna be back in the states in a few weeks.

oh i thought it ended next sunday but that’s what i mean maybe he’ll stay in japan past the bosj again doubtful but that’s the only thing i can think of
