For transparency, I don't think it's too much meta-bending to clarify, it's this.

I'm going to say because the 'bodyguard' didn't pm me any selection, their power wasn't activated. I guess you could read it as auto-activating if they themselves are targeted, but... For sakes of having a dead body night 1, they didn't.

Yes there can be two of the same strong role if it's not a jailing or speak to the dead role, I believe.

Yeah we’ve already had two games with multiple (real) detectives.

Also we have an extra “strong” role this game, and most of the strong roles CANT be duplicates. It’s actually a little unfortunate that we got two detectives instead of two gunners.
