I don’t get it. Bandwagons happen all the time. Let’s say Vash is the Joey. We lunch him today, we just added an additional predator to get rid of, reduced our town by one, and prevented the option of a small 2 person voting block from knowing each other

Sure. We need to kill 5 (4 predators and 1 Dingo) no matter what, so the Dingo joining the predator team doesn't really change anything. But the math:

We have 10 village, 5 evils. We lynch Joey. It's 9 village, 5 evils. I check someone / am protected. Now I know three confirmed good (Night 1 check, Tasmanian Tiger, Night 3 check). Tommy Boy has basically been confirmed good. TD is very likely good. The Tasmanian Tiger gets the name of the Kangaroo from the dead Joey. Smacktard is confirmed good

The evils probably have to attack me (and eliminate the wombat protection) or the wombat directly. Otherwise I stay alive and keep making checks and they're done for.

Let's say they're lucky and get the wombat. We have 8 villagers, but 7 of them are confirmed good. If we don't get the croc in time it's 7 villagers with 6 confirmed good. There are 5 evils left. They can't win.

I understand Vash's aversion to role claiming and don't find him not wanting to go that route particularly suspicious.

Croc is an extra village kill and the shark means the wombat protection is useless… did you calculate that?

Fool's can tell us if he is a random role or not. I'm gonna hold on to the name of the Tasmanian Tiger just in case we kill the Joey soon, it would be useful to learn the name of the Kangaroo.
