See, I saw that as two people claiming the same thing with the same level of proof. They both essentially gave the same answer as to why they waited to reveal and Ben targeted taker with an "ass" and said nothing about Kut.

I would read this as Ben taking Kut's side and my "Kut is lying and Ben is a wolf" radar would peak.

I don't want to sound too haughty since it's always much easier when you have all the knowedge, but it's just the obvious play. Even if Ben was a townie it still outs kut since there's no other reason for him to lie and claim the role. If they then lynched kut it would have been 4-1.

Last night I assumed that the wolves wouldn't kill Vash or Local because they are powerless, and given they know the rest of the players are all townies they would be certain of getting someone better. The obvious complication is that myself, probably CAFM and maybe even Alu used that logic too, and I think the wolves would assume there's at least one protective role out there even if it hasn't been used. With six townies left and four unknows the odds for the wolves were decently good, although as it turned out we were unlucky with their last minute switch.

Assuming rktaker is lynched today it's now 2 unknown townies and 2 known powerless townies. So it depends on whether the wolves or CAFM/Alu follow the above logic again or if one/both teams switch. Or I guess (for the town) if they realise that Ben is the other wolf, which Local seems to have hinted at.

If rktaker is lynched, killing Vash or Local makes the most sense because of the known Priest or Gunner.

But I'm not sure why that matters? It's 100% confirmed that everyone left is a townie. From the wolves' perspective everyone is a valid target, role powers notwithstanding.

It's the second point you're missing in this.

There's many townie role possibilties that could legitimately backfire and cost you the game. It's way smarter to kill the known roles rather than risking one of those roles I mentioned.

That's true I suppose. I guess I can't get knowing the roles left out of my head. Even so the odds of that are still quite small, and a second Red Lady could have screwed over either team.

Shooting Cupid with Gunner is not a win for the town. Cupid is not an immediate threat, bullets should be for wolves and solo killers.

Cupid dies if his couple dies and beyond that - killing Cupid helps the wolves get closer to their win condition.

Until you pointed out I was never a real threat, that's what I believed. I don't know WHY a doctor isn't more of a threat to wolves, other than a low % chance of being right, but it's still a threat to some degree in my mind.
