I think this should be pretty easy, though I don't know if any of you will have played it.

Jurassic Park Trespasser
Damn, that was faster than I expected. You're correct.

If there was a remake of Trespasser for VR systems, I might actually give a shit about them. The whole "use your hands" mechanic of that game was way ahead of it's time.

Dafuq, this was a game? I thought it was a cool shot from roller coaster tycoon, with the first-person "ride the coaster" setting enabled or something
sure was

It was one of those games that was WAAAAAY ahead of its time. Biggest issues were the clunky controls and poor AI. if they remade the game today for VR, like Ben said, it could be a big deal.

Also, the left side of her chest has a heart tattoo that is used as her health meter.

Yep!

1998, so same time-period as Half-Life and Metal Gear. It was absolutely too ambitious for it's time, things like no HUD (there's a heart tattoo on her boob you have to look down at) and a janky "you have to move your hand" interaction mechanic.

How did the hand moving thing work?
Arm Extension: Left mouse button.
Grabbing/Picking Up: Right mouse button while the arm is extended.
Moving Object/Arm Swing: Move the mouse while holding the left mouse button.
Wrist Movement: Shift key + left mouse button + mouse movement.
Arm Rotation: Control key + left mouse button + mouse movement.
Fire: Space bar

EDIT: It was the need to control the wrist/arm that I think fucked it all up. It was just too layered to be efficient when you've got dinosaurs wobbling towards you.

The more I think of this gif, the more I laugh. Like, I get the idea of making gun control difficult and shaky when a terrifying bloodthirsty dinosaur is chasing you down, but I can't imagine anyone whiffing their aim this horribly no matter how scared they were. I feel like I'd like this system a lot more if there were better limits on how much you could rotate your wrist and elbow out of their natural range of motion.

I would say it's probably in part the person playing being a bad. I'm like 90% sure when I played it I'd just positioned the gun to aim roughly center and didn't try to reorient my aim mid-fight.

Although as you see in the gif, your arm has collision physics, so when it gets close enough to Anne the Uzi bounces off the raptors face and jerks to the right.

It has voice acting from Richard Attenborough and Minnie Driver though, so that's on point.

Collision physics? Holfuk, I didn't realize that at all. That's actually really cool. This game needs to be remade.
