We have a great authentic one in town, not super close or far, but we dont eat out much

I got thrown off though, I went I ordered a "ye-row" and the guy said one "gy-ro" coming up and I was so confused. Maybe he has americanized it since most people order it that way?

Man I fucking hate the word "gyro". One pronunciation makes me feel stupid, the other makes me feel pretentious. I just order by the number to avoid the whole thing.

I kind of hate you right now. I went to Aldi today just to find these. They're a fraction of the cost of importing the big brand (or even a cheaper knock off or the Milka ones or the various other versions), and they're fucking delicious. Now I'm going to be a slave to these things anytime I can afford to grab them. Plus two sleeves to a box? Just fantastic value.

They're dangerously good. My wife keeps pointing out the serving size of 2 when I eat an entire sleeve.

It's rare I think to pick up a box, but my daughter apparently remembers them enough to randomly mention "your orange cookies". I haven't been able to explain that they're cakes, blah blah. Not important.

I'm glad you now know.

Oh they'll be rare for me, too, because...well...I can't afford indulgences, but also because more than rare and I'll be in trouble!

Serving size is just a suggestion, a sleeve is a more fitting serving! They 100% are cakes, but explaining the logic of that is just not worth the hassle, lol.

I'm disappointed I know...I hate myself for doing this!

Specifically, the orange ones? They have a strawberry kind too that I'm not down with.

Yes specifically the orange ones. I got them originally because I saw a clip of Tom Holland offering Zendaya one and her declining. I was like "I love chocolate and citrus so these should be great!"

I actually was looking for it in my pantry but my husband threw the other sleeve away because he wasn't fond of then either 😅

The strawberry one is definitely inferior. I don't mind it, but between the two I'd always pick the orange. Maybe if they were OG Jaffa I'd maybe like strawb more, but not this brand.

..... also, 1 sleeve already gone like an hour ago. I've been home for maybe 4 hours since I bought it.

I'd gone to Aldi to get pizza for my daughter. After getting home, half a sleeve was gone before the pizza finished cooking, and the other half lasted maybe 20 minutes after sitting down at my desk after dinner. I guarantee the other sleeve won't make it through the night.

But that's why I bought two boxes.
