Here’s the simplest way to do it that I think would avoid all shenanigans with confusion wolves / Corruptors.

Generate all the numbers and roles+1. So if 16 players, assign 17 roles to numbers 1-17. Assign the wolves / solo first and send out those roles. They can do all their seering and night actions. Whatever number gets killed, that’s the dead body. Now assign the remaining players to the remaining numbers.

No role swaps required.
