If I had to guess, a lot of bluffing and reading the dictionary. This will be my 4th game, first game wasnt too bad, I was solo killer and got two before they lynched me, second game I was killed before the game started, third game I was killed the first night by my own teammate

I have seen some people keep a spreadsheet or making notes

You're either on the wolf team, village team, or a solo role by yourself. Village team wins if they kill all the wolves (either by voting to lynch them or with killing roles like the priest or gunner). Wolves win if enough villagers die that they no longer outnumber the wolves. Villagers vote to lynch during the day, wolves kill at night. Villagers don't know who the wolves are. Solo players have their own specific win conditions.

Jailer is a killing role with a downside in my book.

Like, I forgot that I need to pick a person to jail during the day. Then I forgot to jail during the second day, but Benzine felt bad for me and let me still do it 15-20 minutes after the day ended lol.
