Any runners or joggers?

I took up running in January. Started low with 20km across the entire month and then decided to add 5km to that total each month so I’m now up to 55km in August. I went from really dragging myself around and struggling to get to 5km to now being a fair bit faster and my base level is about 8km. Done a few 10km+ runs. I’m not good or fast in any way but I’ve started enjoying it and it’s a good way of switching off. I listen to audiobooks and don’t think about anything else. Anybody else run or jog?

Yes, join our running club thread in the fitness club group!

I wish I could but I find it boring. I started mountain hiking this year. Have done 4 mountains so far, one of them twice and am doing my tallest one yet on Saturday. Hope I don't die.
Mountain hikes are fun. What's the highest mountain you've done so far? Any 14ers in your future?

No not even close to that. Our mountains here top out at 6200 ft, so pretty tame in comparison. I've only gotten to 3000 feet so far. Doing 3200 tomorrow. New Hampshire has 48 peaks over 4000, which is what people like to collect here.

My stamina is bad, but I am working towards it. My mom's husband wants to do the Presidential traverse on the Appalachian trail next spring, 7 peaks in 15 hours or something, including the top 3 peaks in the east...I need practice.

Go to Vermont and hike Mansfield, Sterling, and Madonna!

Also yeah I run. I'm trying to keep at 40+ miles per month at current. I'm hoping to improve that soon, but I've been getting a better pace for the time being. I've gotten in pretty good shape because of it, so it's been great to really pick it up this year compared to being much more casual in the past.
