This adventure is set along the Sword Coast region of Faerûn, on an island called Stormwreck Isle about 5 miles off the coast, located near where the Sword Mountains abut the sea. You have bartered your way onto a merchant vessel scheduled to deliver supplies to an enclave on the island, one rumored to hold much knowledge and insight for adventurers trying to find their way in the Nine Realms. Yet tales from sailors speak of how perilous this voyage can be, even with how close the island lies to the coast. Stories abound of ships dashed upon the jagged rocks, with all souls meeting a watery end.

You and the other adventurers now aboard this cargo ship each have your own motivations for wanting to visit the Stormwreck Isle, but your fates have now converged together.

This is a Tavern thread for a campaign entitled Dragons of Stormwreck Isle.

This campaign is designed for 4-5 characters. It is an entry-level campaign well suited to beginners.

We now have a full party of 5:
  • Zesty Zapcrackle the Tiefling Artificer (pdf)
  • Moonsprout Beandirt the Halfling Bard (pdf)
  • Aims'Orreh Mwuh'Bwadd the Half-Orc Barbarian (pdf)
  • Nac McWeeble the Dwarf Monk (pdf)
  • Short Order the Gnome Druid (pdf)
Characters will begin at 1st level and if they survive to the end of the campaign, should end at 3rd level. There will be options to continue these characters into another campaign afterwards.


This thread will be used for the following:
  1. Gather the party: Sign-ups will be taken in the order they're received and once we have 5 people (or 4 with enough time passed that we're eager to go), a dedicated campaign thread will be posted.
  2. Party In-Depth Discussion: Out of character discussion regarding the campaign should be kept to this thread, to ensure that the campaign thread itself stays story-focused.
  3. Questions for the DM: Please use the @ tag feature if you need answers on something, to ensure it's seen.
  4. General Campaign Discussion: Discussion and comments from everyone is welcome in this thread, whether you're participating in the campaign or not.

So y'all mother fuckers going to do something other than sit around and lick Aims' nuts?

I kinda figured I should hold off on pushing you out of Dragon's Rest until you'd actually resolved introducing yourselves, assuming Zesty and Kutshort don't try to kill each other immediately, but it seems you've all got performance anxiety.

If you'd rather just skip the foreplay and go do combat, I can arrange that.

First off, 15 damage wouldn't one shot anyone. Not in MTG and not in our campaign.

Second, that's not a real card! You can't bullshit a bullshitter, Ant Man.

I've honestly played MTG like... 3 times. Most of them with clients when I did direct-support for in-home disability services.

I think my ex's best friend's husband gave me a bunch of old cards, and I may have purchased 1 box-set. Do I know where they are? No. Do I care to look? Also no.

I'm sure if I say "It had a fire chick on the box set" you'll be able to tell me what it was, though. 'cause it had a fire chick on it.

I would never do such a thing! Just because I enjoy it immensely and never have anyone to play with and I'm too lazy/scared to go play at my local game shop doesn't mean I expect the rest of you to be MTG nerds and shove it down your throat!

I honestly had no idea what Aims or anyone else's health was at. I just said that to give Magni something to say to the party instead of just staring awkwardly at them :D

I mean... Artificer vehicles do exist already so there's some precedent... I'm not 100% against it.

Something like that though, I'd make you need to go find some rare component first, I think.

Just a heads up in case combat starts, I probably won't get a chance to post until I get home later tonight. I want to thoroughly look over all of Magni's bells and whistles, and depending on how bad overtime is at work it might be 2am before I can even clock out :faint

I was gonna claim it was a jet pack and now Metal Gear Kobold could fly, but figured it detracted from the "walking tank" thing. Though as you implied, a charge wouldn't go amiss... 🤔

EDIT: Oh, shit. I didn't even look at the video since it came up as age restricted and wouldn't embed here.

I mentioned Orgasmo like last week. This must be... Destiny.
