I haven't played the switch version. But a couple years ago I wanted to play all the Zelda games. I knew absolutely nothing about Link's Awakening and expected it to suck since it was an original Game Boy game and it was excellent.

My personal grading scale makes it very hard for direct sequels to do better than the original but Tears makes an excellent argument

I get it, BotW definitely had more "wow" factor, and TotK was a slower start. I feel like there's more and better rewards in TotK for exploring though, which really jelqs my hunger for adventure.

I hated SS mainly since I couldn't stand the motion controls on the Wii. The endurance thing was a bit annoying in its infancy, but that I could deal with.

Skyward Sword had a lot of bullshit but I still enjoyed it more than Twilight slogfest. but they're both still such bad games that if you disagree with my opinion, i actually agree with you.
