The best thing about SSJ3 is that there is no context. What you see there was the first and last time I remember it appearing in DBZ, besides a joke character using it as fodder. But like, that transformation is the purest distillation of what people thought the series was before then, and absolutely what it was after. I could be misremembering but I'm pretty sure there was a commercial break somewhere in the middle of his screaming that appropriately made it feel even longer.Every time I (a person who really has only seen through the Freiza arc) see all that "SSJ3" stuff after their names it's really confusing, not having any context.
I'm like "oh hey I should congratulate Goku on passing his SSJ3 exam, I bet he had to do a lot of studying."

Android/Cell Saga is good stuff, kinda doubles back and wraps up/ties into some DB stuff. Ostensibly the last time the series bothered with pretending anyone was earning anything or struggling; I enjoyed some parts of Buu Saga but that's where I left off. GT was bad, was totally over the whole thing by the time Super and whatnot came 'round.
...Wait weren't we playing some sort of game here? I forgot.
