Yeah, because the Doctor can't protect themselves. It ultimately didn't matter much in this game but it's a smart strategy.

Why is the two Doctors thing sus in the first place? It's really not that remarkable, and she didn't even have to lie about being able to protect others.

I know it was a meta game, but in Kats I shot Jawneh, and he was the wolf avenger so that took out Zell, then I shot someone else and I think it also ended up taking out another baddie, but I think their death caused a good guy to die

It was more trying to convince the rest of the town that it was too coincidental that you were muted the same time you got a gun. I had to also make sure that we were too trigger happy and not waiting another day for you to talk. I was concerned he would give you a shield, meaning we wouldn’t be able to kill you before you used your gun.
