I've (accidentally) killed sooo many cilantro plants. Also basil. I even managed to kill a mint plant once.

I've heard if you stick to just the leaves and avoid chopping the stems then it's not soapy even if you have the soap gene. It all tastes delicious to me, so I cannot confirm.

I found out that it's fine if it's mixed in with other things. Just the leaf alone is what is nasty tasting to me.
