I'm curious as to which sports and teams everyone is into (so I know who to hate with a burning passion).

So, here's mine, ordered by most important to least:

Premier League - Chelsea
NBA - New Orleans Pelicans
MLB - San Francisco Giants
NFL - New Orleans Saints
NHL - Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA - Florida Gators

I just woke up so I hope I'm not forgetting anything...

NFL - Panthers
NBA - Hornets
NHL - Hurricanes
MLB - no carolina team but i like the Mariners (shouts out to jon bois and alex rubenstein)
NCAA - ECU and to a lesser extent UNC
European soccer - Robur Siena (currently mired in the lower divisions of Italian soccer lol)

as you might imagine i know no peace

Indeed, their work is brilliant.

I bandwagon in the NFL a lot because the Browns have been ass for so long
No excuses!

and now they have a serial sexual predator.
Oh, right, carry on.

Chiefs. They're good now to balance out how bad the Royals suck. They just plain sucked. They're the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.
I can't believe 2015 was already eight years ago. 😢 But yeah, I don't know that we'll fully appreciate how good we have it with the Chiefs right now until we can properly reflect after it's said and done (hopefully amply down the road).

My teams:

MLB - Kansas City Royals
NFL - Kansas City Chiefs

For a completely left field answer: the only sports that hold any amount of interest for me are rugby, which I watch exclusively for the blood, and tennis, which I watch exclusively for the tamper tantrums and broken rackets.

Ayyy I didn't know you repped New Orleans sports!

Mine are:

NBA - New Orleans Pelicans (two fans in the same forum, rare!)
MLB - Houston Astros (I don't really watch a lot of baseball though)
NFL - New Orleans Saints
NHL - Don't watch. I did root for Colorado Avalanche last year in the Cup because of CAFM.
NCAA - LSU (2 championships this year!)

dbacks, patriots, bruins and I follow the Suns but I’m pretty fair weather on them. Same with the Red Sox, I don’t follow them daily but I hope they do good on their own.

I follow the Dodgers hatefully.

NHL: NY Rangers
MLB: Boston Red Sox
NFL: NY Giants
Premier League: Tottenham

It's been a bad couple of years.
How does this combination happen?

If you’re from upstate, it would Red Sox for baseball and buffalo for hockey/football. If you’re from the city and hate the Yankees, you’d be a Mets fan

My guess is some weird Connecticut thing.
Went to school in Upstate NY. Buffalo fans easily turn you off from Buffalo sports. I finished my schooling in Rhode Island and got into baseball then. Now I'm back in Upstate NY and people think I'm strange.

NCAA - The Alabama CRIMSON TIDE of course (and Auburn if the two aren't playing)
NHL - Nashville Predators
Rugby - Scotland
NFL - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baseball is for nerds.

I only really follow football. I'm a Ravens fan because of fantasy football a few years before they had won their superbowl. My boyfriend is all about the Jags, so it's been very fun to troll him over the years, haha.

I love New Orleans. Used to take trips there practically once a month with the wife back in the pre-kids days.
I went there with a group for a week each summer from 2007-2014 (except 2012). We volunteered with Habitat For Humanity after Hurricane Katrina. Definitely a fun city. Always enjoyed seeing the Saints do well, especially in the Brees/Colston/Sproles era.

Imagine saying this unironically.

But really football wise I just like seeing the southeast dunk on the rest of the country. If Alabama doesn't win, let it be Auburn. If not Auburn, please let it stay in the SEC.

I'm just so confused as to how your number one and two are Alabama and Auburn. The two just don't mix.

Seriously though, please let it stay SEC. I don't know what I would have done if Ohio won it last year. Or worse Michigan. Let us all just dunk on everyone.

Well Andy, that is one of the weirdest combinations I've ever seen.

Funnily enough I was a huge Utah Jazz fan as a kid. I rooted for them against the Bulls in the finals in 97 and 98. Back when Boston sports fans rooted for the underdog or lovable losers in the 90s since the Red Sox didn't get good until 99, the Celtics until 08, and the Patriots in 01.

Jordan pushed off Bryon Russell in 98. Still something I didn't get over.
