After finishing cooking breakfast for dinner, I realized I still can't help but follow my grandma's instructions to always break eggshells after you've cracked them open, so that witches can't use them as boats to drown sailors.

Obviously I don't really believe that's true, but I still do it. Got me wondering what other superstitions people might have, outside of the kind of logical "don't walk under ladders" stuff.

Another off the top of my head is that when crossing through a graveyard, I make extra efforts not to step over any graves. I don't remember if that's from being told not to at any point, I think I just decided at some point as a kid that I didn't want to get haunted for being a little shit.

I don't really have any superstitions. I have screwed up brain habits like cleaning a toilet before I use it, even at home, or or having to certain tasks twice to know it's done, but no real superstitions.

I think as a kid the bad luck for mirros, black cats, and walking under ladders were a thing. Or the very least I was parroting what others were saying about it. I don't think I ever believed it, but its also been decades.

Superstitions are for the weak.
