What is your ringtone/notification sound?

I have my phone on vibrate 24/7 these days, but ever since I got my first smartphone I've used this as mine. Always thought it was kind of perfect that it sounded like a ringtone while still being recognizable to people my age.


Just found out my current phone doesn't let me do custom notification sounds, but I also used to use various of the non-orgasm sounds from DK64 for that. Mainly the "Hey".

My notification for a text or WhatsApp (from an individual chat) is the same sound from the phone notification on GTA V.

My group chat notification is just a knocking sound, no idea how I ended up with it but I'll never change it. I've had a few new phones since I first used it and I've had to search the Zedge app just to find the sound again.

I don’t use ringtones anymore, and haven’t for years. My phone is usually nearby, hooked up to a car, and I used to use a Bluetooth ear piece back when I was doing repo on the road. I got scolded once at a meeting with bank representatives because I had an unsavory Psychostick song as my ringtone and it played in front of the people I was supposed to be putting a “professional” demonstration on for. Since then, I dropped custom ringers, and then everyone’s phone went on silent/vibrate.

My ringtone is the Black Sails theme and my notification sound is from the opening of YuGiOh.

Specifically the part at 48 seconds...



And the notification is that second long burst around the 1:38 mark...



I like them because no one else has these tones ever, so I KNOW when it's my phone.

My phone is on silent most of the time, but my text message sound is the sound of picking up a rupee in Ocarina of Time, and my ringtone is the closing guitar solo from Valley of the Damned by Dragonforce.

Understandable, I don't know why I bother setting custom tones anymore, I mean it's good to have for slack and things like that, but otherwise...meh
