Noodle doesn't mention Trespasser, but honestly should have. I assume he didn't know about it. I want to get the Gamecube version even more now. I have the 360 version, but if the next gen version is the inferior version, I kinda don't want to play it.
I wouldn't really think it's fair to say "that's what Trespasser wanted to be" when it's more that Trespasser set the stage for anything like this to happen.
Trespasser was also released in 1998, compared to 2005. King Kong to to benefit a lot more from tech discoveries to make it work better.
Though I admit Trespasser went very hard on their unique mechanics. The individual hand-control was real unique, and while clunky, I haven't really found anything else that made it work just as well. At least not until recent VR titles.
I played this game on PC back in the day and loved it. Never thought to pick it up for GameCube though, but maybe I will. Never completed the game cause I got stuck in one part where I literally didn't know how to progress.
