I had a random urge to ask what werewolf movies people had seen, but that quickly led me to remember this particular one.

Has anyone watched this, to give some opinion on reception of the plot?

Personally, I think calling it a werewolf movie is a stretch. It's got some really cool scenes and the effects for the monster all look great.

But then at the end of the movie, they go and pull "it was a guy in a suit the whole time hurrr".

Why? You made a really cool werewolf movie, why try to spin it into a crime thriller at the last moment and basically negate all of the cool "monstery" stuff in the entire movie? Yes, I acknowledge that a big part of the movie is the cop thinking it's a man the entire time, but... Still feels disappointing when you go into it actually expecting a monster movie.

I'd give it 3/5 for the effects and 95% of the movie, but the ending (as spoilered above) just detracts from it for me.
