After the spooky end of yesterday's town vote, the Vampire has flown off sipping on margaritas listening to Jimmy Buffett. The town went to bed, worried at who might wake up dead.

The town emerged from their houses. It was calm. No glass shattering screams from @Ants!, no partner without the other, all the other members of the Agency alive and well. The only thing they could hear was the gentle breeze and the creaking wood of the gallows.

"Wait a minute, why are the gallows creaking?" you might wonder.

As did the town. They all gathered around to marvel at the most unexpected sight. Was it the armorer? Was it a member of the Mob? Why not both?

Dangling from the noose, was @shortkut and a knife stabbed in his back holding a piece of bloody paper with the words "Double Agent, Double Dead."

shortkut was killed by the Mob. shortkut was the Armorer, the Hitman, and the Double Agent.

Dawn of the 5th day.

The confessional smelled of wood polish and the faint, lingering tang of incense. It always did. I heard the booth door open, then the measured steps of someone entering the other side. A man sat down heavily, the screen between us sliding open with a soft rasp. His silhouette was familiar, though I couldn't place him immediately.

"Bless me, Father, for I have sinned," he said, his voice low and deliberate.

"How long has it been since your last confession, my son?" I asked, keeping my voice neutral.

"A long time," he replied. "But I figured it was time to make things square."

The way he said it put me on edge, though I kept my hands relaxed on my knees. His next words poured out like a broken faucet—confessions of blood and bullets, of jobs taken and lives ended. He named names, described faces I recognized from whispered conversations and backroom deals. His voice grew darker when he talked about the kids. "They call me an armorer," he said, almost laughing. "Makes it sound legit, don't it? Like I'm just some craftsman. But I know what they're using that hardware for."

"And the mob?" I asked carefully.

His voice dropped lower. "I keep my nose clean with the family. I'd never cross them. Not once. Never even thought about it."

I nodded, though he couldn't see me. That kind of insistence never rang true. "Why come here, then?"

"I don't know," he said after a long pause. "Feels like maybe I'm running out of time. Thought I'd give it all to God before, y'know... whatever happens."

I murmured the absolution, my voice calm as I wove the ritual words. He left with a mumbled thanks, his footsteps trailing toward the door.

I stepped out of the confessional a moment later, the empty church stretching out before me. A shadow moved near the altar, catching my eye. It was a man, hooded and silent. He didn't say a word—just nodded once, deliberately, before fading back into the darkness.

My gaze fell on the heavy wooden cross propped against the altar. I'd always thought of it as a symbol of redemption, of sacrifice. Tonight, it felt like something else entirely.

I gripped it tightly, the weight familiar in my hands. My footsteps echoed as I followed Shortkut toward the exit. He didn't hear me until the first blow landed, the crack of wood on bone reverberating through the still air. He staggered, turning to face me, his eyes wide with shock.

"Father," he gasped, blood pooling at the corner of his mouth. "I swear—I'd never—"

"You never would," I said softly, raising the cross again.

The church was silent when it was over. I let the cross fall beside him, its edge darkened with blood. I knelt there, pressing the rosary to my lips, whispering a prayer for the dead—or maybe for the living.

"May God forgive us both," I said to the empty church, my voice swallowed by the stillness.
Fresh information; Shortkut had killed!

So can we all pick a single Ben and then Skip to his death? And then make sure we're in agreement who to lynch tomorrow?
