I did have a screenshot I took earlier of that, by the way. I planned on dumping the mistakes like that in one thread after I collected a few more.

Ah, nice! I think it's just how this add-on works, because of two or more are typing...well....then are is correct, but I think it's just the one phrase and no conditional applied with it. So if we made it "is" then anytime two people were typing it'd show Mark and shortkut is typing.

Yeah, that just means you’d have to make two different conditionals, one for multiple users and one for an individual user… which seems like way more work than necessary. What if we eliminated “is” and “are” and just have it read as “(user)’s typing…” and allow it to just repeat that whole phrase so if there were multiple users typing it would just read “(user 1)’s typing… (user 2)’s typing…” so it just gives the appearance that it’s a rolling log?

Oh man! If only classic GW had lifted its restrictions like this! I remember having to carefully decide on which and smilies I should trim, so that my posts would be allowed. (I think the limit was six smilies, maybe?)

It was 10 for years, then it got bumped up when Al finally hooked two gerbils up to the server, and likely bumped up again in the later years.
