Resolved Signatures in PMs

Is it possible to turn off signatures in PMs, and if so, can we default them to "Off"? It's fun having a dated, bloated 2000s-era signature, but in PMs -- especially long threads between multiple people -- it starts to look pretty stupid and really clogs up the chat.
