Removing Rental Store Labels

Anyone know how to get rid of these labels? The label covers the entire disc. I have another that has a Hollywood Video full disc label. Internet has not been helpful. Most threads are suuuuper old and filled with unhelpful answers like "dude, just leave it there, what's the big deal?" and people thinking they're disc protectors or something, but they're definitely theft deterrent label.

The label was definitely something stuck on top and not actually part of the official label. Some of it seems to have come off at some point.

Are hair dryers safe enough? I saw that maybe heat guns could help loosen the sicker.

Going to vary wildly from one sticker/adhesive to another, I would imagine.

Can't say I've personally got any with stickers on them - a couple PS1 games have stamps though - but I would try alcohol and careful picking if anything. Would never remotely consider directed heat, especially with 20+ year old CDs. Warping and exacerbating any disc rot that may be present being the primary concerns.
