There were some asks for another Wolf game, so I'd run another one without any bells or whistles (or gimmicks).

I'll be doing the first night phase a little different to how I've buggered it up the last few times;
  1. Roles are selected.
  2. Each role is assigned a random word.
  3. Werewolves are assigned their roles first and given time to plan.
  4. The Werewolves make their first kill by selecting a word, not knowing which role it belongs to.
  5. The removed role becomes the anonymous "dead body".
  6. Remaining players are then randomly assigned to their roles.
  7. Non-wolf players (Seer, etc.) act as normal for the rest of Night 0.
  8. Day 1 begins with the discovery of the dead body, and discussion begins.
This should make more sense.

I think we'd want 12 players minimum, so when we hit that I'd start it up.

OK I did already say this would be regular wolf, so it will be, but know that I have a whim to do a Jurassic Park themed game at some point. Dinosaurs vs. Humans.

The humans are the baddies.

I've been getting kinda bored with these games, TBH. Getting killed early doesn't help, but there's also been a lack of engagement from the players. Really think we should take a break.

At least no one is fighting anyone anymore.

Not wrong, but they've also been kind of off shoots so I wonder if that has anything to do with it

I thought last game was gonna be good, I found their seer and we were able to kill them night 0, but then town got lucky and killed 3 wolves (well with help of infector)

I know I rarely play nowadays and this is a big factor. But I think the fact we can't ever get to 16 players anymore is telling too, the interest and engagement isn't there - but when not reading/playing has also been normalized, those that do play the game just find better things to do with their time. Most of the very vocal players don't play altogether now.

Potentially worth noting that external factors are likely a contributor too.

I do wonder if a bigger break game between games would get people to play more cautious, especially those with a draw back like priest

Say like max ten posts per player, per day phase? That number can be whatever though, just not too high or it won't be effective, or too low because it'll cripple players ability to debate tactics or argue guilt/innocence during the game. And any player that hit their max is considered and automatic skip.

the amount of shitposting hasn't been an issue. If anything, there's already been a whole lot less. We haven't gotten 200 posts in a thread since Zell's first Wolfbot game, and the last real game with a lot of posts was your Acolyte game and Local's Agency game. Local's game got a LOT of activity in every day phase. But that was back in November.

I get that in the current climate, many people have checked out. Ever since the wolves had someone named Big Balls fudge the voting process.
