Discussion Permissions: Are they broke? Let's find out.

Surprise, we just found out that some forums have been inaccessible for some people.

Over the next few days, I'm going to be combing through user group permissions and forum permissions with the intent of making sure we don't have any other members locked out of forums they should have access to.

With that said, here is a complete list of the forums*...

* - GW Remembrance is only accessible to GW elders and staff.

Gaming Club is technically unavailable for everyone right now.




Y'all see anything on this list that you don't have access to? Let me know, and it'll help speed up this process by narrowing down specific forums and groups with issues.

Note that GW Elders are the ones with access to the GameWinners Remembrance forum, I think all staff do, too.

Yeah, I gotta edit my first post. Only admins can see that one for now, I took it private per request because no one has the time to dedicate to it.

I'm missing gaming club, dono, and test forums.

The "Donation Central" forum under the Staff section is intentionally hidden now. It was set to only let you see threads you posted, but with how the permissions were set up everyone with a pseudo-staff role could see them too.

I didn't want to delete the threads, so it was just hidden from everyone except the admins, and a new Donation forum was made for GWF Bot to automatically drop threads in.

Yeah, it's effectively disabled for everyone except admins, as it's not being developed and was just taking up space.

The "Test Area" forum wasn't originally intended for everyone to use either, it was just for me, but that got repurposed a while ago when someone opened up the permissions on it. That's the only one out of "Donation Central", "Gaming Club" and "Test Area" that you should see at current, I guess.
