Just a note. I have not read every post. I skipped most of whatever was going on last night.

Pretty much after banana made the point that it was weird if Kelly didn't read everything, why come in so hard for something right off.

Antz, it's ok to not look sometimes at these threads because it's going to fall apart whether you are looking or not. So why not leave it as a fun surprise to look at later?

I will say that for me the vibe of the game changed pretty immediately when you showed up and were seemingly (to me!) being very abrasive.

I didn't say anything because I figured there was a pretty good chance it was just me. Apparently I'm not the only one who felt that way.

I'm not saying you were doing anything wrong, for the record. Just my perception of events.
I didn't mean to come off as abrasive, but that "spiteful" comment I made was in bad taste, I admit. I think by that point I was kind of already annoyed by some of the flak I was getting for not reading everything.

I woke up at 5:45am and didn't have time to read 400 posts before going to work. From my perspective, I simply came in and voiced my thoughts on the night's kills before reading any posts. I felt like I was getting pulled from two directions here -- I got tagged by someone telling me to post so that they know I'm not librarian'd, and then I got attacked for posting without reading everything (well, admittedly, anything). I can see this being frustrating after everyone already coalesced around an idea and long ago reached the same conclusions I was reaching just a few minutes after waking up, but my posting WAS with intent to play the game, get more information, and try to "solve" for the win condition.

The intent was never to make things personal. Sorry to you, to @Banana, and to anyone else if it came across that way.

....where have you been posting? I feel like any time I come across a Christina post in the wild outside of wolf, it's like spotting a shiny pokeyman.
Since I've come back from my GW fast....here.

I have a binge/fast kind of posting style. Though I do try and respond if you @ me

Understandable. I think that if I come in after several hundred posts that I don't have time to read, and I see the most recent ones are agreed on a wacky plan that's totally new to me, it's probably best if I start with "wait why are we doing this again? Somebody please catch me up," and people will sometimes even be nice enough to link back to relevant posts. It's a game of deception, but also a cooperative one.

I think where you erred was to come in and go against the current town plan, which was because of a lack of information but you can understand why others might take that as an opportunity to throw suspicion on you as trying to save someone the town has agreed is wolf.

Sorry if this sounds critical, I mean to be helpful.

Well that takes all the fun out of it now
Reverse-psychology worked! I don't want anyone to call me noob, especially that canadian guy! If he were to do that it would make me be like

No, it's not critical. It makes sense.

FWIW I was operating on the best information *I* had:
-I said Jon was a good lynch target, which made sense to me even without knowing about any of the Jawneh stuff.
-I said it was sus that Banana didn't kill Local, because I didn't know about the nightmare claim. Someone could easily correct me (and they did, as people often miss posts in this game).
-I switched to Banana because she claimed that I blocked her kill -- which only saving roles can do against evil roles. Maybe it was just a poor choice of words to use if she meant "nightmare", but that led to the confusion and made me certain that banana accidentally admitted to being an evil role. I've caused similar confusion before when I read someone's aura as "neutral" instead of "unknown".

So he can't voice any thoughts to avoid going against the town of liars?

I say this sarcastically. I think it's totally acceptable to say voice an idea, regardless of it's after upon then or later, ignored, discussed, whatever.

But he died so that we may know you are not a wolf. He's a martyr!
He kind of brought his death on himself. It was like "you can splash Dimmerwit or Jon or Zell, one of them is wolf and we think it most likely Dimmerwit for these reasons" and he was like no I'm going to be random with it instead.

Also worth noting that Local defended this action.

No one said he couldn't disagree with the town. The point was he stuck with his old plan and didn't inquire about the new plan first. Which he has since explained and is understandable, I don't always have time to thoroughly read hundreds of pages before work either.

Local is known for the random actions, and I LOVE it, even when it hurts my team it is funny

You just reminded me. Somebody do the math of the odds of an unknown player being a bad guy.
11 townie roles are unknown
1 wolf role (alpha)
2 solo voters
6 solo killers

I think I counted correctly. So any given "unknown" read in a silo is most likely to be a townie one.

1 SK is guaranteed to be unknown
Not guaranteed with SV but more likely than not
Not guaranteed with Wolf but a chance for more than 1
Technically not guaranteed with town (I think) but extremely likely, especially with the strong vs random breakdown.

I did find it amusing that you and I had the exact same plan but with different targets.

The defending Jawneh thing was weird...but you're on board now, right?

Oh, look 2 more pages I read through. And nothing of real import.

Fwiw, I did try to say Kelly's persistence seemed more to do with not reading 500 posts and tried to paraphrase what he's missed. I'm not sure where everything got derailed, but I don't want to scare off new people trying to get a feel for the game. That's what caused so many of us to leave it in the first place. So, glad apologies were made and hopefully misunderstandings cleared.

Back to lynching me as the right thing to do.

Okay, so the evidence is weaker than I remembered, but still you seemed to support his stubborn rashness over helping me convince him to splash somebody who...oh yeah, ended up being a wolf, shocking nobody.

Though to be fair, it was too late to talk him out of it anyway, since he phrased it correctly the second time and wasn't going to be blessed with a second re-do.

To be fair, he DID say that if he ever got a killing role, he's kill on his first post. He tried to with me and was blessed with a re-do lol

The barely comment, if I recall correctly, was that the information we got from Zell was barely into because Jon and dimmerwit could literally be any team.

Not sure why that's relevant now.

And I don't want to know!
No, you now get a 5 paragraph essay and like it!

Yeah if I stopped calling people noob then everyone can. (I formerly and officially give community-wide permission to continue calling ME a noob though).
Who told you to stop calling people noobs, noob?
The defending Jawneh thing was weird...but you're on board now, right?
Yeah, it makes sense. I'm wary of both Local and Jawneh right now for the same reason. Jawneh's death will inform us of what to do with Local.
Fwiw, I did try to say Kelly's persistence seemed more to do with not reading 500 posts and tried to paraphrase what he's missed.
You did, and I appreciated that. Alu too, and a couple of others, I think.

And I don't want to know!
We'd deduced that Dimmerwit was the most likely scenario after a discussion, and "barely" makes way more info than complete randomness. Changed the odds from one-in-three to one-in-seventeen. And it's relevant because you were the only one defending not going after someone who died a wolf. That added to your all-over-the-place behavior and a proven liar since the game started :raspberry

There's no solid evidence that dimmerwit was a wolf, noob.
That's why I chose my words with care: "died a wolf" rather than "proven wolf".

Defending the randomness over narrowed odds does seem shaky though. Shortkut could have chosen Jon or Zell instead and it would have still been a lot less "wtf"
