But also the percentages are actually based on the chance of you getting one of the 4 spots out of 16. So it's not 50/50 unless you're running on Jon math of actually having 100% chance of being a wolf somehow being a 50/50 split.

I don't think there's a huge reason to. At worst, the couples night actions can't necessarily be coordinated, if they have any. So it's really up to those two as they might be slightly more disadvantaged.

It's because the Cupid selection needs to take into account potential night 1 activities. It makes sense if a coupling must occur but the Cupid role could use a line which clarifies that the selection always takes place even if the Cupid dies.
