I never understood why commentators will say "oh he ran such a great route" like the receiver did something amazing.

He literally did what he was told to do. It's not like he decided which way to go.

It's like praising someone for coloring within the lines.

I think the context of running a great route is about how you fool the defender. I've heard before that the guys that run the best routes make them all look identical before their break, so the guy covering them has no idea where they're going.

I can't believe people were complaining about the defensive holding call. There was absolutely a missed holding call on Donovan Smith on Mahomes' ~20 yard run, but that defensive hold was as clear as they come.

Evardone laughed at me when I said CJ Stroud was the far superior QB in the draft and that Bryce Young was eventually going to flop from severe overhype.

Well, CJ Stroud is a great backup in my league of record and I didn't even have to draft him, so tyvm

once the panthers traded up to the #1 overall pick (a decision i hated immediately. why do this in a draft without a consensus #1? so fucking stupid) i did my research and came to the conclusion that CJ was the surest bet of the big four QB prospects (so funny in retrospect that will levis was one of them)

so naturally the panthers go with bryce. i think he’ll be fine and you can’t project an entire career just a quarter of the way through the season, but…

That depends on if you mean in the NFL or fantasy.

Because in the NFL, go for it, I'm not a Carolina fan and they aren't playing any of my teams, so I hope he does actually throw for more than 150 yards.

In fantasy, no one is dumb enough to roster him let alone start him
